由中國香港羽毛球總會、中國香港戶外羽毛球總會有限公司主辦，康樂及文化事務署資助的「2024全港戶外羽毛球錦標賽(學界組)」於3月16日(本週六) 假九龍公園七人足球場圓滿舉行。賽事屬全港首個戶外羽毛球比賽，寫下香港羽毛球發展新的一頁。首屆賽事吸引全港57間中學及大專院校，合共108隊報名，216人參加。
首屆全港戶外羽毛球錦標賽設大專組、中學公開組及中學初級組，男雙、女雙及混雙共9個個人賽組別。比賽採取每局11分，5局3勝直接得分制。大專組賽事競爭尤其激烈，香港浸會大學蔣焯行/關博匡、楊婥彤/鍾雨桐分別在男、女子雙打決賽鬥至決勝局才反勝香港大學奪得冠軍。而香港科技大學羅苑彤/余文傑則反勝香港浸會大學奪得混合雙打冠軍。
中學公開組，男子雙打聖瑪加利男女英文中小學貝朗僖/鄧鍵希以3局擊敗九龍華仁書院稱王；順德聯誼總會梁銶琚中學李穎霖/許昊晴就於女子雙打決勝局險勝福建中學(觀塘)封后；中華基督教青年會中學林妍彤/李凱華在先失1局情況下，連追3局奪得混合雙打冠軍。
中學初級組，福建中學(觀塘)黃尚宏/劉靖陽以總局數3-1擊敗保良局姚連生中學贏得男子雙打冠軍；傳統學界勁旅協恩中學球員江澤瑤/林沁儀先後在四強及決賽勇挫拔萃女書院及福建中學(觀塘)摘下女子雙打冠軍。至於混合雙打賽事，福建中學(觀塘)黎正滔/劉逸倫在小組賽就以一局不失姿態贏得錦標。
Organized by the Badminton Association of Hong Kong, China and the AirBadminton Association of Hong Kong, China Limited, and subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the "2024 Hong Kong AirBadminton Championships (School Division)" finals was successfully held on March 16th at the Kowloon Park 7-a-side Football Pitch. This tournament marked the first AirBadminton competition in Hong Kong, opening a new chapter in the development of badminton in the city. The inaugural event attracted a total of 108 teams, consisting of 57 secondary schools and tertiary institutions, with 216 participants.
The 2024 Hong Kong AirBadminton Championships featured divisions for University, Secondary School Open and Secondary School Junior with a total of 9 individual events for Men's doubles, Women's doubles, and Mixed doubles. The matches followed a best-of-five games format, with each game played to 11 points. The competition in the university division was particularly fierce, with the Hong Kong Baptist University came back from behind to defeat the University of Hong Kong in the deciding game in both Men’s and Women’s Doubles and claim the titles. In the Mixed Doubles event, City University of Hong Kong staged a comeback victory against Hong Kong Baptist University to won the championship.
In Secondary School Open, St. Margaret's Co-educational English Secondary and Primary School triumphed in the Men's Doubles after a three-game battle. In the Women's Doubles final, Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui College narrowly defeated Fukien Secondary School (Kwun Tong) to clinch the title in a deciding game. In the Mixed Doubles event, Chinese YMCA Secondary School staged a remarkable comeback after losing the first game to secure the championship.
In Secondary School Junior, Fukien Secondary School (Kwun Tong) emerged as champions in the Men's Doubles after a 3-1 victory over Po Leung Kuk Yao Ling Sun College. Traditional school powerhouse Heep Yunn School defeated Diocesan Girls' School and Fukien Secondary School (Kwun Tong) in the semi-finals and final, respectively, to claim the Women's Doubles title. As for the Mixed Doubles event, Fukien Secondary School (Kwun Tong) dominated the group stage without dropping a game to secure the championship.
