The 2025 BMW M2 is a fully modern sports coupe that skillfully channels BMW's original unfiltered and rewarding driving experience, even though technology keeps moving forward. The car has the brand's famous 3.0-liter inline-six engine, but in this case, twin turbochargers boost its power to 473 horsepower, 20 horsepower more than the previous M2. BMW says that the 2025 M2 with the manual transmission can reach 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. However, the last M2 did this in 3.9 seconds in C/D tests, so it's likely that the 2025 M2 will be able to cut some tenths off that time. Even though the M2 is fast on the drag strip, that's not what it was made for. One of the things that makes it so appealing is how well it tracks on longer sweepers and nips at tight apexes. It can also be used as a daily driver without any problems, as long as you don't need to share every day, because the back seat is very small. The M2 has a quick, engaging chassis, rear-wheel drive, and an optional six-speed manual transmission (it's free; an eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard). It continues to offer the thrilling, rewarding driving experience that will make any enthusiast smile. BMW's iDrive system moves up to the new 8.5 operating system, and the climate controls, which include vents and heated seats, are moved from real buttons to the 14.9-inch infotainment screen. A new leather-covered, flat-bottomed steering wheel with a red center line is one of the changes to the car's looks and controls. It can also be heated and covered in synthetic leather. The black Vernasca leather M Sport seats now come with red accent stitching, and the M Carbon bucket seats, which were only offered as part of the optional Carbon Package before, can now be bought on their own. There are now more exterior styles to choose from, such as Sao Paulo Yellow, Vegas Red metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, Skyscraper Grey metallic, Frozen Pure Grey metallic, and Frozen Portimao Blue II metallic. As part of BMW's Individual paint finish program, it now comes in Java Green metallic, Voodoo Blue, Grigio Telesto Pearl Effect metallic, and Twilight Purple Pearl Effect metallic. Standard black exhaust tips and a silver border around the front and back badges are two more color changes.
