When Ford Mustang lovers were getting excited about the breathtaking Ford 2024 Mustang called the Horse that Ford rolled out this summer.
All their excitement seemed to have vanished into thin air since Ford recently announced that a Cobra king was coming! And what's this Cobra king? The Ford 2025 Mustang GTD, aptly called the Cobra, is billed for sale in late 2024 or early 2025 at the latest. Now, Ford lovers need clarification about whether to still go for the 2024 Mustang or wait a little longer for the 2025 Mustang GTD to hit the market.

I really hate this robotic announcing crap. Just pay somebody a couple bucks to read the copy. And maybe someone else a few more bucks to write better copy. No one is cross shopping, the Hark Horse and the GTD. When one of them costs approximately $120,000 more than the other, it's not a decision of one or the other.

You know it's a shame knowing that these cars are built around the younger generation, yet only the people that have a 401k or a large bank account can only afford these cars. So you're right what is so special about a Mustang that you can't afford. I so pose if it wear so easy to get your hands on 100k or more then affording a car like this would be simple to get.

Ah... to be able to afford one of these! Took my driver's test in a brand spanking new 66' deluxe V-8 Pony coupe: ( My Mother's!) Have owned numerous difference performance cars: Mustangs, Corvettes, Trans Ams, Datsun 280z's & more! Still own a 67' Mustang street mod coupe. My D.D. is a SVT COBRA MUSTANG. If only this Ole man: retired, on a fixed income; after 55yrs. of work, could only somehow acquire one of these G.T.D'S Built to the bone! One can dream! Thank You, J

It's more than picking the 2024 Dark Horse or waiting for the GTD. The price difference alone will knock most potential buyers out of the picture. If that doesn't do it, there is no guarantee you would even be accepted by Ford as a potential buyer that meets their requirements

Most of us can't afford one. It's nice to know that American muscle cars are starting to compete with the rest of the world. Corvette hybrid with the same kind of track focused street legal race car. Chevy needs to het in on this. I'm curious on how ford will hold up against Porsche and Mercedes? They sound confident, and Ford knows racing. That would be very cool to stand at the top of the ring.

The price of the GTD and the Dark Horse price difference makes for two different types of customers. A $70,000 and a plus $300,000 makes for two different cars and customers.

Am I missing something? The GTD is not the new Mustang Cobra, its its own car. There is a new Mustang Cobra coming out with 800HP that's not the GTD. Confusing article & not clear. Had a splash yellow GT with the title Darkhorse. Splash yellow not offered for the Darkhorse either! Doesn't matter about that 'so called Cobra' cause Ford stealerships will ask $50K over sticker for them and Ford allow this BS. I've seen stealerships in my area and in surrounding states asking $10K or $20K over sticker for the Darkhorse. I hope that NEVER sell one at all!!!

Allocation just like Ford GT. Most people will never even see this car, no less be given the chance to buy one. There is no one canceling their orders for an $80k Dark Horse to wait for a $300k GTD that they won’t be given the chance to buy

Say GOODBYE TO DODGE . and not because of this one model of mustang . its mostly due to Mopar giving us the same tired looking cars. Their EV models will fail ( my opinion ) . i will never want a car maker to control my power levels by tossing a switch at their end or monitoring our driving . A friend of mine just had a catastrophic failure on his 2022 Scat Pak Charger with under 20k miles on it Purchased new. His NY dealer refused the repair under warranty. They claimed there is evidence of abuse.

The Mustsang Ford GT3 is a race car built by Multimatic. Good luck in trying to buy one unless you are racing it, and can even afford it. This video is very confusing as it shows a GT3 and calls it a GTD, which it says is the street car Ford will sell to the public next year.

I drive a Ford luckily it's an old Ford Ranger not a new one because Ford has lost their mind . Both the Mustang Mach E and the Maverick pick up are based on the Ford focus . They used clever advertising campaigns and limits on who could even buy it in order to inflate the price of their V6 supercar . The whole world including the automotive manufacturers are going to hell in a handbasket . But it seems to me like Ford is leading the charge when it comes to automotive . I've owned 4 Camaro's and not one Mustang . And I don't think that will change anytime soon .

Exactly! That's what would make it great. The gt350r is almost perfect, needs more power 40-60hp and shed about 150lb. It would be nice if they went off that and just perfected it. The last model year GT4 Mustang was 225k. I didn't hear anyone complaining. The Mark 4 2023 Ford gt is a million. The new Cadillac flagship car is 300k+. Just get a used Camaro.
