2025 NEW HONDA CBX 1000 RR UNVEILED!! LEGEND REVIVED!!
In 1978, Honda made a 6-cylinder engine motorcycle called the Honda CBX. With the 24-valve DOHC inline 6-cylinder engine, the power output of the Honda CBX was the largest in its time, reaching 106.45 horsepower. The good news is that Honda is reportedly going to revive the Honda CBX. This is reinforced by the circulation of the design patent of this 6-cylinder motorcycle. For the new type, Honda will equip it with a 6-cylinder engine with a capacity of 900 cc. Regarding the design, if from the patent design circulating, it will be in the form of a cafe racer with a tubular chassis and upside down suspension.

They had to jump through hoops to get the air cooled CB1100 to meet emissions... If there is a new six, it'll have to be liquid cooled...

I would so buy this - too bad its just concept show bike that may or may not actually even be made even as a concept show bike. I was an original owner of a Candy Glory Red ’79 CBX with fond memories and adventures. I had the silver Comstar wheels refinished in gold anodize paint, drilled the rotors, the full Euro kit to replace the U.S. high rise bars and relocate rearward the foot pegs shifter and brake pedal. For a while I had the Maxi-X 6 into one into two short megaphones - what a shrieker of an exhaust sound! The Maxi-X got me pulled over a lot for sound violations (no actual mufflers). My original exhaust had been damaged in an off road mistake when I failed to make a corner at speed. One day I ran across a guy who had just bought a stock exhaust CBX, and within an hour we did a straight across exhaust swap - made both of us happy. An air cooled engine...bwa ha ha ......you have no idea what you are talking about do you, really, this is some sort of computer generated spam. A 900cc air cooled inline six, can we have six carbs too. Maybe some points ignition. How about just one two piston front brake, cloth hose. Can hardly wait to see the 'upside down suspension'.

There was nothing simple about the CBX 1000. Not very durable either. They had a number of catastrophic engine failures when pushed. See KZfaq vid of Castrol 6 Hour race 1978. We raced real unmodified production bikes here in Oz. The CBX1000 was used for one season only. Not a reliable rig and handled fairly poorly.

Guys that rebuilt the engines with overbored cylinders, or threw turbos on them, would have rod problems. The standard engine was just fine.
