2025 Toyota Camry XLE Full Review -- All Hybrid, But Not All New??

For 2025 Toyota has re-designed the Camry, and the all-new XV80 model (which is actually heavily based on the old XV70 model) is now offered only as a hybrid model in the United States. But is this heavily refreshed Camry worthy of being considered an all-new model, and most importantly worthy of your attention if you are in the market for a new car? We will try to find all that out with this review. We will go over the hybrid powertrain, the passenger space, the cargo room, and we will look at features like the optional Panoramic moonroof, the 12.3" touchscreen, the ambient lighting, and the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.

With sedans being discontinued left and right, I can understand why Toyota might choose to only do this major refresh as a sort of a hedge, rather than developing a whole new sedan ground up.

I wish they would’ve brought back the hood struts! Camrys always had them up until the 2021 model

Not on more expensive cars/vehicles. Hood prop rods are a downgrade .

You didn't mention 4 360 cameras as well as the driver seat memory

This particular example was not equipped with those options. They are not standard on XLE

I have a 2023 Acura Integra, a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, and a 2012 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG.

@@jeffreyerickson6766 not really, most of the law enforcement agencies where I am have retired them for Chargers or Explorers so most people just ignore it. I bought it because I always loved how they drive and it was quite cheap at the time

I think that mousefur is probably alcantara. Either way, I'd prefer good old fashioned vinyl.

I feel like the back seat space seems tighter than the previous model

Not really. Only because they are all hybrids and the backseat will be a bit higher that the old gas-only version which will slightly decrease maximum headroom. Still the same as the hybrid version of the old model though.

They prefer little small vehicles.. It is so overpopulated and cramped in Japan..😫

I hate that microfiber trim they put on the seats and dash.. It is so tacky. The previous generation looked so much better.. They also put the cheap flat black finish around the door trim panel covers. The Painted shiny black look so much better premium that was on The XLE and XSE before. . They also deleted the nice hinge covers for the trunk lid..ugh..
