Awesome group when you got her dialed in. Several folks in my area own 204s and like them. They were a really hot item for a while.

I love the 204 ruger. I'm one of the few that load my own. One of the most accurate rounds I've ever shot.

He’s sighting it in backwards. Just aim at the center and when the hole is on the paper while holding the rifle on center again adjust the scope onto the hole in the paper. Only takes one shot most of the time.

Man, I can tell that your boss taking things out on you has gotten you rattled. Best thing you can do is let it go. Someone may have hollered at him before he let loose on you. As long as you’re doing all you can do, life’s too short to let others get to you.

I reload .204 for my Dad, it’s a beast of a round. He has taken wild hogs with a 40 grain bullet about 150 yards. 147 coyotes total with his .204. He loves it.

For the folks looking to get into a .204 Ruger it is a great and extremely capable little caliber! I have been shooting it for for at least 4 years or so now and I am using a Hart barreled 700 action and the rifle with hand loads will hold about .5 MOA at 100 meters with 40 gr bullets, the cal. is fairly inexpensive to reload and allows you to really get the accuracy out of the rifle your shooting. Because of the velocity of this caliber it has the ability to really anchor critters much bigger than you would think it useful for, I use mine primarily for coyotes and fox and depending on "WIND WIND WIND" (yes I meant that) out to 300 yds on coyotes is a normal shot and they are down immediately with extremely low fur damage! Now the reason I stressed wind! This caliber has one weakness and it really needs to kept in mind and that is wind, from the front, no problem from the rear, no problem quartering from any direction the deflection on these little bullets is a LOT, messing in the wind on paper I have seen deflection of up to 22" at 300 yds with a 12 mph full value cross wind. If I am expecting winds like this and I am hunting I will grab a different rifle in a caliber that can handle the wind better. Other than that one drawback its one of the most enjoyable calibers I have ever owned!

I know a guy who is an avid coyote hunter and load's his own .204. You have a diamond in the rough!!! You can reach out and touch anything you want and lights out with out ever hearing the gun go off😁

I did the same thing with my new Leopold scope. I was so pissed I couldn't hit a cow pie at 100 yards until I realized what I did. My buddy will never let me live that down.

Try out some kind of soft point ammo if you can find or handload any... I believe it would be a 45gr soft point, maybe do a clay/gel test with! I have always used the 32gr v max like that out of my same rifle, but 5 round flush mag

When I came back to shooting, I wanted a platform that offered both .204 and 7mm-08. Happily, the Ruger American is an outstanding rifle in a great choice of chamberings.

Love my 204. They can be turned into an absolute laser beam. They got real popular down here a few years ago with the pro Kangaroo Shooters. Then, just as quickly as they kicked off, the Roo Shooters all went back to their 223’s, and this consigned the 204 to the “outer”, so to speak. Again, great video. Lol! Me n my bro in law had the same thing going on sighting in his 450 Ruger American. Starts to get you wandering, you know what you’re doing but the hits never go where you think they should be. Something with that much power you need a premium steel mount n lap it perfectly to fit the scope. Hell I did that for my American rim fire, Leupold mount n rings with a Nikon fixed 4x scope. You can appreciate a good mount after seeing how bad even premium mounts fit n twist on your scope. Doesn’t take but an evening to lap your rings at the worst n makes adjusting your level and eye relief super easy when your scope glides smoothly in the rings and doesn’t twist on you as you snug it down. Well worth the time m cost of the tool.

Don't feel bad we all have those days. Heck last year i was sighting in my rifle with new replacement scope and i used the laser bore sight to zero it. Well i forgot to remove it and the laser went down range. It was destroyed. Yea it was a bad day.
