@@Wild_Stranger It's the feeling of loosing someone and trying to pass their image and presence onward through our words and stories but being unable to do so. It hits home with a feeling of nostalgia and the light of childhoood slowly fading away, missing the memories and moments that are forever lost in a life where we're alone after all.

I seen this movie when I was 19 at the end of my shenanigans and bad decisions. At the end of this movie I was overwhelmed with a feeling of guilt of all the stress I put my mom through. I apologized to both my parents for every thing I did through high school and a bit after.I still get that feeling watching this ending. I love this movie

This is my favourite movie ever! This movie made me cry, laugh, smile and contemplate life. All the characters are so interesting and relatable. Abbie is my favourite character, followed by Dorthea and Jaime... So much was going on in my life. This movie came at the right time. Thank you, Mike Mills. Thank you to the amazing actors and actresses and everyone else who worked to create the beautiful movie. Thank you so much... ❤

I'm just here to sit in my feels right now... I hate the idea of looking back on times you took for granted. Small pockets in time where everyone just happens to have time to be around eachother. Those fleeting phases always seem like they'll last forever, when you're in them. But one by one, people move on. They go away and start a new life. It's exciting... maybe the most exciting part of life, but fuck it's heartbreaking too. I guess that's the trade you make for being so lucky to cultivate such great memories and experiences and friends

It's funny to watch this and Beginners, both from the same director and each one focuses on a different parent that the movie is loosely based on. Beginners was about his father who came out as gay later in life and if this one is about his mom, it's an interesting contrast

Por quê no final apenas o Jamie não aparece como adulto? Não é ele o personagem principal? Este filme não é sobre mulheres. É sobre os homens. Sobre como ser um homem novo depois que as mulheres mudaram. Abraços do Brasil.

I feel like the ending song was pretty out of place... Would've liked some of that interesting theme music that had been used throughout the film
@atharva7723
@atharva7723 3 жыл бұрын
As much as I love the theme music itself, this seems pretty appropriate, given that the son is reminiscing these moments, probably after his mother's death in the future. We see them frequently watching Casablanca early on in the film as a means of bonding and this is one of the most iconic tunes used in the former film, so this seems like a pretty good sendoff. But that's just my opinion lol
