I actually got this question right thanks to a love interest I had in my British Literature class! The last poem we ever read for the course was The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. My classmate was confused because Eliot was American, so she asked her father, who's also an English major, how or why Eliot would be read in a British Literature class.

SO happy to see this outcome! Victoria absolutely embarrassing Yogesh and Amy is a total delight. She's an incredible player in every way! Definitely can't wait for the seemingly inevitable James and Victoria finals, should make for absolute must watch TV! James absolutely has a real fight on his hands here, it won't be a cakewalk for him.

JOEL. :: It is a good guess. ! Joseph Conrad is my favorite writer. His story. '"The Secret Sharer " is a breakthrough in thinking of what complex writing can be. But he was born in 1857 and DIED in 1924, so 3 years before T S Eliot became a Brit. He was Polish originally , then French then British. He was a very heavy smoker...that is what killed him. He was a great writer influencing everyone including Ernesto Hemingway...and Hollywood.

@@judithmoore7892 I felt sorry for her last year because she didn't win a game in the Masters Tournament. I really liked seeing Amy in her original run and in the Tournament of Champions. 😕

@@AaronTheCrystalClod Amy's one of my favourite contestants, so I was excited to have seen her as the Producer's Pick. Unfortunately she's also one of Michael Davies' favourite contestants, so I can understand the sentiment from some Jeopardy fans (some of whom are Amy fans as well) of Amy being the Producer's Pick.

I like (??) the fact that 'Who Eliot' was considered sufficient syntax to be in the form of a question. Minimalism at its best! Kanye West might approve, but i.m not sure Thomas Stearns would have...

You cared enough to comment. And I prefer the tournaments because regular play is more prone to runaways and boring games, while these are typically more intense.
