Syrox, Relno and Silent Wolf are the most prominent examples of technical players, obviously all maining Fox.

If borp learned top lvl tech, which he never will, I'm pretty confident he would have a chance at melee godhood. I kind of consider him a god of melee in his own respect though. He destroyed me when I went to Moal in pittsburgh a few times.

PracticalTAS is pretty important in the Melee scene in terms of explanations and making the rankings but he doesn't actually play. Some people just wanna be good at specific things and not much else because it's what they enjoy

I've been thinking this for a while, and we are witnessing the new-gen gods and character torch bearers: Syrox (Fox) Wizzrobe (Falcon) Zain (Marth) I see Axe and Plup being in the top after the gods retire, but by this time they would be considered the old-school players. On this topic, I'm so scared for the time when the gods decide to retire, but also very curious and thrilled about what the scene and community would be without them and who will be the players that rise to the challenge and dominate the world.

PewPew is great, but, a) He is old school, I'm specifically taking into consideration the "new guys in the block" b) Right now I think I would take Zain > PewPew. Top 10 players feel untouchable against PewPew, but Zain has been showing up against them.

waveshining is not specific to peach but its easiest against peach because she is the least slippery character. more slip = less waveshine. its not possible to waveshine luigi for example, or ice climbers

Waveshine is a pretty difficult tech to implement. Let alone multiple times in tournament.

MrLeva115 the invisible shine glitch can be done by landing on the ground on the fourth frame of shine, or leaving a platform or the stage on the fourth frame.

Its called a chillindash, and it lets you go out further from stage without using your double jump. with certain timings, you can get the invisible shine. look it up its pretty cool

PlaceholderName finding out somehow that you can cancel gannondorfs special attacks and retain your jump and be frame positive on hit or block. But for real it could happen. Look at t hawk from super street fighter 2. He was the worst character for almost 14 years. Then without a patch someone discovered something (jump in jab, buffer 360 grab) which actually took him to top tier. 14 years. So if we are just starting to have this tech with fox (which might become baseline tech one day) who knows what else can be discovered... Super sick

I'm absurdly inconsitent. I either get it perfect or don't even get the airdodge for the wavedash. That might just be because my Dolphin emulator is laggy because my pc is shit, though. Edit: Just to note, I almost never play melee. I'm almost exclusively a Sm4sh player. Lol.

if you don't get the airdodge it is because you are inputting the airdodge too quickly. Not absurd at all, just slightly off in timing.

Noah Sherer Well not really, remember, at 20XX levels we win or lose games by port priority which is decided through RPS so tier lists shouldn't matter.
