Great video to start the New Year! Love my Pono ATD from you guys. It really does hold up well against much more expensive ukes. An amazing value at this price point.

Using a pair of Josephson c617 w Gefell MK221 caps and a pair of Schoeps w the MK2 caps here. The grey ribbons I use on some videos is made by Ocean Way.

Andrew, why does Pono like the wound C string. Sustain? BTW, Mika and Kalei sound amazing together

It was the way almost all tenors were strung in Hawaii for many year. Maybe 15-20 years back the all plain set started being more popular. It does add sustain. Just personal preference. The next Pono shipment will have the Aho fluorocarbon all plain I think. Mahalo.
