Autobot Project Magma YT Link - • ISUZU D-MAX 2021 - FIR...
This is a (Video) Commentary on a build by Autobot Offroad. They called it Project Magma.
The base vehicle used in this unprecedented mod is a the all-new 2021 Isuzu D-Max 4x4. The vehicle in itself is what makes the build unique
The build is made even more challenging because this Isuzu truck does not enjoy a wide variety of aftermarket parts even if the D-Max is a bestseller in Thailand.
Let’s get on to the build - WHAT I LIKE :
Overall Appearance -
- Step back - and appreciate - it’s stunning
- Valencia Orange and Gunmetal go well
- Unique 2021 D-Max
- Components picked for the build were spot-on
- Everything worked together for a complete look
Hamer Products
- Front bumper King Series 2 pc
- Rear bumper Nova Series sleek and light
- Both add form and function
- Winch ready up front tow Hitch in the rear
- Both provide additional recovery points
- Sport Bar has a unique levitating look that adds to the aesthetics
Shock Absorbers
- Profender Tune Series - large bore monotube, adjustable damping
- Front strut complete with coils adjustable height
- Color coordinated
Clean Fender trim job
- To clear the wider tires when steering
- So there is no tire rubbing
Stealthy Body Lift Job
- I appreciate the hard work involved in it
- It was needed to satisfy the client’s desire to use 35 inch tires
MY WISH LIST
- Differential Gears with 4.10 / 4.27 ratio to turn the 35’s
(I realize these may not yet be available)
- 20 x 10 Rims
- Performance Upper Control Arm
- Diff Drop Kit
- Raised Leaf Springs
- Wide Mud Flaps
I realize that some of the items mentioned may not be available given the vehicle is all-new and has just recently been released,
SUMMARY
It’s obvious that Project Magma is a dressup build rather than an offroad or overland build. The intention was to set the vehicle apart from other D-Max’s out there. And in that regard, the project is a success. I’s a bulky brute with a scorching appearance worthy of it’s nickname.
Congratulations to the owner and the outfitter.
