The main problem with FL's stock plugins is that none of them is a wavetable synthesizer... except Sytrus If you select a saw waveform, enable the waveshaper and switch it to the bipolar mode, you'll be able to draw your own waveform with it! It will sound glitchy on low oversampling, but if you turn the render all the way up, it'll be perfect

@@NavieD thx man, really amazing that you take the time to reply all comments, noo worries, will never quit doing that and being interested, i should have actually started earlier, cause im so musically driven, i know everyone loves music, but im addicted. When there is no music, i start humming, singing, trumpeting with my mouth or just jamming a beat n drums with whatever i can find 🤣 and to be honest i already get quiet decent results, and i see it like an oppurtunity there are endless possibilities with a daw, so endless stuff to learn, try and improve, that can be frustrating to some, for me its exiting

Great video! Another good tip, that I am stealing from SeamlessR, is this: Lets say you are moving a knob in the FM matrix, you notice that it sounds cool when you move the knob, but not when the knob is stationary. Naturally you will try to right-click and automate some movement into the playlist, but sytrus doesn't let you do that, instead it just mutes the knob. If you want to automate the knob movement, go to the operator that is modulating the operator that is producing the sound (the top modulates the left) and automate it's volume. For example: if you want to modulate the knob in the top row and second column, you go to operator 2 and automate its volume. I am no professional at sytrus, I just remember that from a SeamlessR video. (The same concept applies to the volume controls already built into sytrus, this is just if you want to use automation in the playlist to control the knob turning. Use the volume envelope or whatever control you want for operator 2 in the example.)

Hyatt isn't only a fine tuning Hertz also allows you to do very complex thing. like not only detuning. but making new pulses one ring modulating and Etcetera. And it's one of the main secrets that you need to. understand to really get powerful sounds out of citrus. Well, honestly, you need to understand the whole entire plugin. to really be able to use it. Otherwise you won't go very far since it's F. M. And F. M. Is the most complex. form. of sound design to wrap your head around and no citrus isn't true. F. M. Since it uses phase shifting. on its frequency modulation. but there's an out of benefit of using fate shifting. It means that your pitch is more consistent and modulating.

That was a good tutorial! I was wondering if you know of a way to control the speed or tempo of an Arp selection or Arp preset while within Sytrus? I know about adjusting the BPM using the global tempo adjustment setting near the top menu bar in FL Studio. This, however, affects the whole song, not just the specific Arp in Sytrus. I was turning and sliding most of the knobs in Sytrus to adjust the tempo of an Arp but was not successful.
@LukeSly91 Жыл бұрын
Arps in sytrus are all drawn by hand. If you want them to be faster you gotta draw them in faster or increase your projects bpm. Also I think in the miscellaneous tab most native fl plugins have an ARP section where you can easily change the speed the ARP is played. Not sure if this applies to sytrus or not. Hope this helps
