Was told to stay 50m back, but was a lot closer and it was VERY loud. I have heard a lot of these in 25 years working on the Hill, but this was the 1st one I watched in person.
Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Canada.

It's not because of a commonwealth membership. It's because it's a proud part of our past, culture, and tradition. We shouldn't be afraid to embrace where we came from. It's part of what makes us Canadian.

It is honouring the birth of the future King and Head of State of Canada. It is absolutely appropriate.

Of all the gun salute videos I've seen celebrating the royal birth this one is the best. I like how you included footage of before and after the salute showing them lowering the gun barrels etc.
