#21 Replace Cabin Air filter - Infiniti Q50

This video is about the cabin air filter on an Infiniti Q50. I used to have a G37 before and replacing the cabin filter was complicated. Apparently the engineers came up with the idea of a small door behind the glove box. No need to remove any screw.
I replace this filter once a year. I did this video because it was the Groundhog Day for me each time. Only after I removed all the screws I did realized it was the wrong way...
Meanwhile, I included a tip on how to do a quick check of the filter from the battery compartment.

The dealership wanted to charge me $140.00 just to install the air filter. The filter itself was like $20. Took me all of 20 minutes to change it after watching this video. Thanks man!

I followed this video and replaced my filter in 4 mins or less. I paid $18 for the filter, Purolator, maybe Nissan one is better but for $18 it is good enough for me. The dealer wanted $120 to replace the cabin filter. I saved $102 and it took non-mechanic me 4mins or less to do.

2015 q40 doesnt have that small cover part that you pulled down after you too off the glove compartment

Can anyone tell me what wires are the ones infront of the cabin filter?They are tucked in the bottom…. Are they A/C related?…..Those cables are ripped in my car due to a bullet hole, now my A/c wont blow any cold air & blows hot air out of my feet air ducts

If it's like most cars, price tag for a new air filter at Infiniti?? like 50$ plus 0.5h to replace, total over 100$... DIY removing of the air filter, dust it with ShopVac, put back in -- 0$ /15-30 minutes.
