We rode the tram on 1/8/22 (a week after the tram got stuck). We had absolutely no idea what happened the week before. So when our Tram guide (Positive) said, "I can even answer questions about the incident last week" everyone on board thought that he was cracking jokes -- a funny guy. We were all blown away when we found out that he wasn't joking around, yikes! Positive, if you happen to come across this comment, just want to say that you are a wonderful human being. When I lived in ABQ and took the tram, I was always worried about this.

This is why I always use the toilet before I leave the house or a restaurant or getting in an elevator. Always, been a fear for me. Now I will add a tram to my list.

ikr! They were prob scared and very cold. Sucky way to ring in the New Yr beside having to have to work!!

This is no new news it happens all the time every year for over 30 years my father Valentino owned the restaurant right there at the base for over 28 years The Firehouse restaurant and lounge. I've seen people stuck on that tram for hours at a time usually employees for high finance because if the crosswinds are too strong they will shut down because it would pull the box from the A-frame... On top of that that pull cable stretches 15 ft a year this is why they shut down for 2 weeks every year to cut off the excess slack and reweld it. The last cables had over 30 welds that means weak spots on that cable before they replaced it.... Shout out to George boyden, Jay luis Benny...ECT.. the whole gang..😉

"TWO tram cars were stopped on the way DOWN". Not possible, no how, now way. The two cars counterbalance each other -- one goes down, while the other goes up. Duh.

@@joeytorres5442 Lol What?! Dude, my family is McGinnis (School of Driving). We’ve been New Mexican’s for a VERY long time and have never heard nor seen anything like this extreme tram rescue in all the years (4 generations) of our family living in NM. I’m sure many other people would say the exact same thing! Kiss your mother with that mouth?

@Emerald Triangle let me rephrase, quit this job and get another restaurant job. They all pay about the same without this bs. There is nothing unique about this job other than a "tram" to get you there. The manager is the only one winning making decent money.

This should not have happened. Why would they risk their employees going up there in the first place? They left their employees up there overnight?? They should all sue

makes you wonder who's in charge of ensuring safety when closing employees have to descend well after sundown. They're obvs not doing their job, jeez. You're right, this was avoidable
