@Off-Grid Europe I really enjoyed your video production. I’m always very interested in anything having to do with forklifts and telehandlers. The only thing I’d like to inform you about is the telehandler rigging system. Here in the USA it would be a OSHA violation to do overhead lifting with your method.The reason is that the chain assembly attached to each fork can potentially slide off the forks if for some reason they are tilted down.I don’t know about the regulations in Europe, but I would guess they are even more strict than in the USA.My advice as an experienced telehandler operator would be to purchase a single or double revolving hook attachment that slides onto both forks and allows you to secure the device to the forks mechanically.Of course make sure you get the correct capacity required.This will allow you to easily rotate the load and the operator will have total confidence that the rigging is secure and will not accidentally separate from the telehandler.If the main use is hoisting and moving containers this would be much better than forks. If you did use forks, your machine would require 8 foot long forks.And on a typical telehandler the forks could not be positioned wide enough to enter the fork pockets of the container.My main motivation for writing this comment is safety of all workers involved in your business.

Hi William, if you look at 1:56 you will see that we are not using the forks for this purpose, the JCB has two mounting points on the actual boom arm chassis where the 10t certified chains are attached. So it is actually on a hook already.

@@markkragh4223 You are absolutely correct Mark. I completely missed the part of the video that clearly shows the chain slings with master links were not attached to the forks. I’m glad to see you and your crew are practicing safe rigging procedures. And I’d like to wish you good luck with the new forklift and telehandlers. Hopefully they will all provide excellent service life. Obviously the machines come from two top tier manufacturers, so all should be good. Take Good Care.
