15:24 the sleeper is a Fiat Uno, my mom had one when she was young. Speaking of Fiat Uno, here in europe there was in 80s/90s a sporty version called Uno turbo i.e. was a 1.4 inline 4 with 120hp and 161 nm of torque and the car weigh just 990 kg or 2182,5 lbs, had a 5 speeds manual transmission and had a top speed of 204 km/h or 126,7 mph 0-100km/h or 0-60mph in 7.7 sec

15:20 the sleeper is a Fiat Uno. There's a joke here in Brazil about a white Fiat Uno with a ladder on top being the fastest car on the road. It's an eco shit box frequently used as a fleet car for telephone companies work, actually. But it will always be flashing lights on your rear view mirror 😂 This one seams to be actually fast😂

I built an S-10 Blazer 2wd just like that black one, had a 383 stroker cranked out over 400hp on regular gas. Built it for freeway cruising and at 60+ mile an hour rolling starts it was unbeatable in my little slice of paradise. Had so much fun in that beast!

Tesla's are really only good off the line. The reason being when they put the hammer down, they have 100% of their horsepower RIGHT NOW. Last summer my next-door neighbor followed me onto the freeway with his (not a Plaid) Tesla, me driving my old 1999 Corvette and egged me into a race. We raced from 50 MPH to 100 and I blew his doors off.... by about 30". He was shocked. Made my day. 1

I worked for Honda R&D road testing prototype vehicles before they went on the market and that little 1300lb insight with the factory 80hp 3 cylinder engine (this was over 20 years ago so memory may be off but) gave 160km/hr coming out of 3rd gear... imagine with some tuning it could go!

Many of these races are dependent on the kind of race rather than the capability of the car. For instance, drag racer vs autocrosser. Who wins? Depends entirely on if they're at the drag strip or in the parking lot.

On the track is where skills come into play but allot of the highway stuff vs. exotic cars the drivers don't go all out. I drive some fancy stuff and rarely floor it on the street there is just too much that can go wrong. Even if the other guy crashes if someone gets hurt then both racers go to jail.

We had a 71 Chevelle Malibu with 350 and 600 Holly manifold and 650 Holley carburetor Holly headers and dual exhaust. My sister wrecked it. Sold it to a guy and he dropped it into a 41 willys amy jeep. It was a wheelie Machine I tell you.

The big question is, would you rather the ugly sleeper or the exotic? Yeah I think most don't care about a sleeper, I know I'd rather have the exotic. At the end of the day you'll still be in a fast civic that will amaze no one, while I'm in an exotic that everyone will look at 🤪
