Nicely explain whole lecture... But one question Can u tell no. of linkage groups of any organism say like of human by ur definition? No u can't ,,, So we can define linkage group as; total no. of chromosomes in one set(n) in an organism.... So by this definition we can tell that human has 23 linkage groups...

I was shocked to see why homologous chromosomes don't assort independent. Non homologous assort independently. I was surprised to read these lines from book. But now I got it.

Those traits assort independently whose alleles are riding nonhomologous chromosome..... Crossing over to Homologous chromosomes ke darmiyan hoti hai.... Phr non Homologous ka q likha hwa ha?????
