I’m actually really glad you have to long press first before activating the swipe to change watch face. My son randomly changed my watch face constantly. On top of that rustling in bed often accidentally changed the face. Now it never accidentally happens.

a lot of people never liked the "Swipe to Switch watch Face" I am really glad that apple gave us the choice to either disable it or enable not like in the pervious WatchOS

But that feature is broken now. Now watch faces for some reason always show the time 10 : 09 first, and only then the actual current time. Why? But yes, it is an absolutely necessary function, which I often use.

One of my favorite Apple Watch tricks is to make a focus called “iPhone Locked” then set a shortcut to lock the iPhone screen when the focus is enabled. Then you can turn on the focus from your watch and lock your phone remotely if someone takes it out of your hand!

This sounds cool. But how do you create the shortcut to lock the screen? I don’t see the option when trying to make the shortcut. Can you share the Shortcut perhaps?

@@caramel1114 I don’t think I can share it on KZfaq, but try creating an automation. There should be an option to run an automation when a focus is enabled. Then set the phone to lock whenever the focus is turned on.

Before you follow his tips and apply them, think through carefully. Few of those tips will make the battery on your watch (series 8) drain like crazy.

I have the Apple Watch Ultra 1, and I’ve noticed that sometimes when I take my watch off the charger, the always on display somehow turns on automatically which is kinda strange so I’ll have to go into the settings and turn it off. But it has not been doing that lately.

Also with the Workout app, once a workout is started, you can double tap the display to mark segments of a workout. I use it when I’m doing weights, like when I switch between kettlebell squats to dumbbell lifts.

I always thought the Apple Watch was kinda pointless but got a series 3 in 2020 and ended up loving it, I upgraded to the se the next year then got the series 8 back in October. I gave my mom my SE when i upgraded to the series 8, my old SE still works but the battery wasn’t the best and I wanted to get the series 9 specifically for the gesture and I wanted a bigger screen so I got a 45mm series 9 and was able to give me mom my series 8 so I know the battery will be good on hers too lol

I know things have advanced and apps are way better now. BUT, honestly I miss my Pebble watch. It was always on point with what I needed and notifications were always quick. Also, I think it was way better looking and I wasn't afraid to scratch or hit it up against anything. To be bad the company didn't last, as they were the true pioneers of the smartwatch I think.

He said it to not activate his Siri listening not yours. Your Siri settings are sensitive to your voice only. Sometimes when voices are similar (I have experienced this with my mom’s voice) then it will start to listen.

I have not been able to use sleep mode or increasingly many other features since my 7 series was a month old. Updates dropped battery off a cliff.. online/youtube suggests turning this off and turning that off…. Soooo, now I have an apple rubber band on my wrist. lol. Apple has to stop with the battery killing!!! My 5 month old 15 pro max barely lasts a day… it used to last 3 days out of the box. But thanks for the great tips, assuming we have battery to make use of them. ;).

I love the Apple camera remote trick but majority of the times it won’t show the live feed from the camera…..Even in your video the watch showed no live view which is frustrating😅. The only solution which I found to work was to restart the watch and relaunch the app after some time

I’m running iPhone 14 Plus with iOS 17.4. I have Apple Watch 9. My phone won’t allow me to mirror my watch under accessibility settings. It keeps saying I need to unlock the watch. It isn’t locked. Rebooted the phone and the watch. Same issue.

My Watch SE2 had a ton of false positives on raise to speak, and wouldn't respond when I actually wanted to use it. Weird because it worked better on my Series 5, and better still on my Series 2.
