Thoroughly enjoying mine. Was going to hold off for the Flex kit to release for a retune, but with Subiefest coming up and me wanting to slap it on the dyno I am going to have Anthony do a retune for a little more E and power!

SO IM LOOKING AT A 6 SPEED SWAP FROM A WRECKED 2018 STI WITH 54K MILES. SWAP COSTS $3500(PLUS $700 IF I GET THE STI BREMBOS) AND COMES WITH THE SLAVE CYLINDER, TRANS MOUNT, HUBS, AXLES, MATCHING R180, DRIVESHAFT, STARTER, SHIFTER ASSEMBLY, FLYWHEEL. I KNOW ILL STILL HAVE A BUNCH OF OTHER ODDS AND ENDS TO COMPLETE THE SWAP BUT DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A DECENT DEAL ? HAS A 60 DAY WARRANTY TOO.

Good thing I have AAA lol. There are people driving with this swap. If I need to just swap the rear axle to the correct length one in the future then it's and easy swap. We will find out!

Yes it fits. I have all the swap videos in a playlist on my channel. Just hooked up the dccd as well.

Not sure. I know with the CVT there are more sensors.

Thank you! I'm having no issues with the transmission, but at this level there is always a possibility of something breaking. The sti trans is known to be very strong and it has an LSD front and rear diff with the dccd

I have a 22 pushing 450 wheel torque. Snapped my rear axle 2 weeks ago. Just last night I either destroyed my clutch or the transmission. I’ll be putting it on a lift this week and see what happened!

@@enriquevaca5086wow man nothing against you at all but very surprised you would push that power on a stock tranny. the vb transmissions are unfortunately not very strong and the power is limited. i’m at about 310-315 hp and 350-360 tq

That sti tranny, could you comment on the source of that? Did you have it checked out at a tranny shop for some kind of assurance that it was in good shape?

Lets say someone wanted this done to their VB *cough* *cough* me LOL. However doesnt have the means to order everything and do it themselves. Is there a shop that can do this and get everything installed including the DCCD. I live in florida and want to be informed for when I finally start pushing big power out of this car. Also, I can seem to find information online but is it not possible to upgrade the OEM trans on the VB platform to withstand more power ?

I'm sure there is a shop in Florida that can help with installing everything. The issue is not the gear set with VB trans. It's a design of the trans case itself. Upgrading to an STI trans is best permanent solution.

Why do the swap to begin with? Is the sti tranny that much stronger?

Yes, it’s significantly stronger. You can’t even upgrade the stock trans to be as strong as an STi trans. Plus it has lsd front and rear with the dccd.
