It's been 10 years and Jason's videos still rock! Helped me as a white belt - helps me now as purple belt! Awesome job!

I saw this video in 2013 when I first started jj and it seemed so useless at the time. Now years later it's exactly what I'm looking for. I've found that fancy submissions videos are cool but movement/proper transitions are what makes a great grappler. Solid transitions makes the basic graciejj submissions work very well and are way easier to pull off.

This is what I am learning too. I'm learning to just let the subs come,instead of forcing them. Being able to transition to different attacks and sweeps has helped tremendously.

these are some of the best instructional jiu jitsu videos, love how you don't try to explain it while your doing it, its a lot better that your just narrating the video of you doing the moves, great job!
@metmad224 жыл бұрын
Dude this video deserves way more appreciation. Totally helped my transition game

omg i love this! it's not a bad thing, but most BJJ videos are very explainatory and slow-paced... We've all got control of how fast the video goes, what with the play/pause button... I really appreciate the style of these videos.. VERY HELPFUL for beginner-intermediate and even advanced players! LOVE the crazy legs guides.. I'll check back in a couple months to tell you how much you've improved my game!

Thank you everyone for your responses. I went to a quality channel and got quality advice. I am in law enforcement and am really only interested in self defense aspects, so the combatives program was attractive to me. Nice to hear of peoples experiences w/the video program. Time to find a partner! Love this art!!
@chimpanzeeforever12 жыл бұрын
your videos helped me win an army combatives tournament 2 months ago.

Man.... Jason i wish I could thank you in person. You are a godsend. Only thing about these is they don't go in super in depth,but im ok with that. Ill figure out any of these techniques flaws myself, when I drill these. Which is how I learn. Hahah can't tell you enough how many times I've been submitted by a armbar before becoming great at escaping them. Ill have a few slip ups, but thats because my head wasn't in the roll . Anyways . Thanks for these videos man.

@ihavenohair1975, I have trained at multiple schools, and several seminars. And I also run a Gracie Garage with the Combatives curriculum. I have never seen a better learning structure, or had more in depth BJJ instruction than I have received from the dvds. It even continues with the master cycle on the Gracie University website. KZfaq videos like Jasons, are AWESOME for new ideas, wicked attacks, escapes, and beautiful transitions. But if you need finite details, Combatives are unsurpassed.

What I like about these vids unlike others is they force me to rewatch, rewatch and rewatch. After these I've noticed that I lose retention on the step by steps of other vids.
