23 - Learning to Weld to fix the Mini

If you want to learn how to weld, this is a great beginner video showing someone worse at it than you.

You're right handed, so you should go right to left, opposite of reading

Looks like it'll hold, at least better than the factory fuse/spot weld. You need to SIT DOWN. Get your nozzle closer to the weld. Also, wear safety glasses under your helmet if you're going to pop it up so soon, slag can pop and hit you right in the retina.

Hey man, it will get the job done so...one less thing to worry about. I have my R53 in a million pieces right now doing the clutch , bushings , pulleys and everything else...if you go back to grand Bend for open lapping let me know!

My goal is to hit Grand Bend in 2021. If I ever get my damn main bearings I should make it. Good luck on your repairs.
