I'd leave it basically stock, just add some proper lug type tires !!!! It is being held back so much by the all season radials. Lockers are another must. With just these two changes, no lift, it's Moab ready, Rubicon ready. Ditch the cheesy MM front hubs and throw the stock drive flanges back on. Add some smooth u-bolt skids, and boat side sliders / belly pan Take a look at what Grampa's Jeep and other similar hard core but basically stock builds can climb. As one of those guys, I can tell you it's so much fun to drive a non lifted , sprung under, 7.50-16 bias ply tire equipped rig that punches way above it's weight class. The Roxor is a great platform that just needs tiny, subtle tweaks and a good driver to kick some serious ass.....

Yea, these are truly the last real representative of the pure utility vehicle. Sadly, most young "Hero Fab Shop" guys want to build big, rip everything apart, and start over, without understanding the potential nor having any respect for the platform they are working on. I'm an older guy that has gone full circle, in almost 40 years of hard wheeling, and now really appreciate the potential in these little rigs, with savvy, well planned mods and some restraint. I was down in Sand Hollow, Utah last month for Winter 4x4 Jamboree with some friends. We were in several old Willys and early Land Rovers, all very close to stock, all of us experienced drivers. We shocked a lot of the big boys with how capable our little rigs are, climbing rock walls and ledges. I swear us little guys were having the most fun !! Some nice KZfaq vids showing us playing. A Roxor, properly set up would do just as well !! @@NewliverNewlife

I wish the 2023-2024’s were more popular so maybe someone like Holley or Fuel tech made an unencrypted ECU for them.. Around my area all the 22 and previous are either automatic or beat on to hard for what I want and the price they want.. Can literally almost buy a new one for what people want for ones they beat on. To me these look like the ideal preparedness vehicle being stupid simple and turbo diesel. I’d probably put wheels, tires and lockers on it and leave the rest alone. Not being able to tune a new one is my hang up if it doesn’t quite meet what I’m looking for stock..

The MDi series engines and the other engines developed from those engines by mahindra will clock one million kilometers easy.

@@NewliverNewlife Yes, I can understand they are slow compared to modern standards. The reason is because Mahindra developed this engine for its diesel tractors and utility vehicles in India. Mahindra bought rights to the old international B-275 engine and kept updating it till now. A fellow in Florida was able to register his but you have to have brights, windshield wipers, backup lights, a horn and blinkers. You have most requirements already on that vehicle.

Try reaching out to other Roxor owners, maybe on a forum, and find out how they registered theirs. I’m surprised your dealer couldn’t help out with that.

My dealer was in Richmond, Virginia. The problem is, the license registry offices in my state are independent contractors. Their clerks are poorly trained. I heard from law enforcement that many of the independently run offices have been shut down due to complaint’s.

Back when they had the jeep grill you had less questions. Not a fan of the new grill. Dirt legal will help with regulations and getting on road legal. Mahindra has been making diesel engines for decades.

So is your second Roxor going to be the base red one with the OX manual front and rear differential locks and mud and rock tires with the oil pan skid plate? The one you won’t be worried about scratch and dent?

If this is the 2023 the 2.7 L engine in it and it isn't tuned because there's no tune yet from diesel freak, how did you get up to 55 miles an hour on the highway? I thought the limit for the 2.7 was governed 45 mph. I'm on a pulled out for tonight that diesel speak comes up with for the 2.7.

The stock ROXOR 2023 goes 55 MPH all day.
