9:34 In addition, if you lower the opponent's attack to where you can't anymore, the Mew or whatever Pokémon you encounter (which is based on the special stat) will be level 1. If it gains experience that is less than what it needs to grow to level 2, since the game can't compute Pokémon that are level 1, it will freak out and instantly set it to level 100.

I used the Mew Glitch to get myself a bunch of underleveled pokemon to gen 7, such as a level 7 machoke, gengar, nidoking, nidoqueen, slowbro, and a level 8 magnezone. This game is broken, dude. Also I used Toxic-Leech seed with my Venusaur to break the elite 4. it was fun.

FuzzyTriangles how does that not make sense. He caught a level 7 magneton, then traded it to a game where magnezone was existent, and leveled up the magneton in an area where it would turn into magnezone. Thus giving him a level 8 magnezone.

@@sethlopez8287 Sorry bud, you're just wrong here. You can't transfer pokes from Gen 1 to anything passed gen 2. The VC 3DS titles don't allow glitched Pokemon to be traded. He meant Magneton. Sorry.

Sorry to tell you sir, but that's impossible. Every level is built around using it to progress. I'd imagine very few levels would be possible without it. Though *Maybe* you could do it in New game plus mode. Idk, I haven't seen most of the heirlooms yet, as I'm currently only in world 2.

@@RiverOfTheHeart bubble spamming can get you to a lot of places horizontally. Fire sword gives you height. (It's what I used to do a stage without any jumps) So it's probably possible.

Fair warning: Do NOT use any of those glitches if you want a long-term file! These glitches are known to eventually result in file corruption, forcing you to restart. I lost two save files this way, all the way back in the 90s. I had friends who lost save files as well. So, goofing off with them is fun and all, but if you're remotely serious about that save file, avoid the glitches.

Brick? Well they are strong against glass sure, but brick pokemon are super weak against steel types. Steel types barely get hurt by bricks so, take this knowledge with you; young trainer.

0:49 I saw a level 177 rapidash that I caught and named "Overpower". After 1 battle it deleveled to level 100. "Deleveled" is a palindrome. Hard for someone who's only strong Pokemon are weak to Fire types (Venusaur and Articuno.)

@@taddenrempel6386 It's a glitch item (among many other glitch items) that allows the reprogramming of Pokémon RBY, a channel by the name of TheZZAZZ glitch (his channel is actually named after another glitch in Pokémon) made a video where he turned Pokémon Red into Pong, google it and see. 8F is taken from the elevator name, and there are other glitch items that can reprogram the game.

ACE is a classic glitch seen in few games, Pokemo just has one of the most flexible versions

For #19, Retro Game Mechanics Explained has an excellent explanation of why this happens. Basically, when the game is decompressing the Pokémon’s sprites, the glitched ones have sprites bigger than the game is expecting, causing the game to write data beyond the area reserved for decompression and all over the Hall of Fame data. And for 23, this “same Pokemon as the last area you were in” property is what causes the Old Man / Missingno bug: when you do that tutorial, the game sticks your name in the “last area” data for some reason (probably because you’re controlling the Old Man in the battle instead of Red), so immediately going to Cinnabar Island and surfing there will make the game load a bunch of invalid data for the Pokemon encountered since the last location isn’t what the game expects it to be.

@@zeroattentiongaming820 yep! But... fans made an english translation patch for it and some uploaded it fully patched. The game is pretty much like the first one, but with team rocket added in and new cards. It's worth checking out if you can find it.

Not in pokemon but I had it happen in Assassins Creed Syndicate. Was standing on a piece of wood lifted by a crane. Went to replay a mission so the game saved in that spot. When I finished the replay it reloaded me where I had been standing but the crane had moved, leaving me with nothing under me. So I would load in and fall to my death, over and over. The file was permanently broken as the game wouldn't let you fast travel in the air.

aha 2 glitches i knew about when i was younger and messing around on pokemon stadium 2's yellow emulator, the fly glitch i used to call the screen scroll trick and that viewing the pokemon without the silph scope. good times

I remember doing number 21 by complete accident by simply playing the game as is. Freaked me out to no end and I was scared that my game broke. Years later when we got dialup I found a fan site that explained the glitch and made me feel at ease.

The north-eastern edge of the Seafoam islands work just like Cinnibar Island for surfing into Pokemon from the previous region you were in. Only problem is getting there, unless you use repels.

There is another place where you can find pokemon over lvl100 but it as been more than 30 years ago for me. What I remember is that at the exit of a cave there is a dead end !! With a river pass through and with couple of weed that you can walk in to find pokemon. At this particular place there a snolax lvl120 that you can catch and he js a absolute beast haha

With mews, in the same area, the last trainer in the nugget group before Bill has a slowpoke with the dame special stat as the gym trainer. So if you best him and go left as well you can get another mew, one more time before Misty!

If a high level Charizard, Moltres, or Arcanine uses Fire Blast on a low level Paras, the damage will overflow by it doing over 256 damage.

You talk about skipping Brock's fanboy, but no mention of Brock through Walls? By having a certain party composition and getting to the other side of the take-me-to-Brock-guy, you can glitch out the game and get the ability to walk through walls wicked early in the game.

You can fix hall of fame corruption (any every missingno glitch sprite stuff) by looking at your pokedex.

Actually if I remember right, as long as the mon doesn't get to lv100 via battle, rare candies can level them up past it.

I hate how the set of colours changes to full colour, the Pokemon Yellow colour changing thing and the black and white of the non GBC versions of Red and Blue. Before someone says "Oh but Yellow always changes colour every city or route!" I know that, but the colours have a set pallet such as all green or all blue. I wish he stuck with either the original black and white ones or the full colour ones, the swapping throughout the video hurts to look at, and I'm pretty sure none of those were Yellow exclusive so there was no need to use the Yellow colour swapping at all.

Glitch: You can go over a tree, but you can’t walk out of bounds. Cut a sapling, go onto it’s tile, save, then reload the save.
