Et c'est le cas de figure "parfait", où le skieur a 1) de la chance de tomber sur un pont de neige intermédiaire et sans se blesser 2) tous les bons réflexes 3) tout l'équipement nécessaire 4) des guides qui arrivent pour le tirer de là, avec le savoir-faire pour poser un mouflage... Tout seul sans personne pour venir à ton secours, l'attente doit être la pire expérience imaginable. Parce qu'avec un seul piolet, faut pas imaginer remonter ! En tout cas, Roland, couché sur ton pont de neige, les yeux dans le noir du fond, t'as du vivre un sacré moment de solitude ! Respect pour les réflexes...

Incredibly smart of him to screw in the anchor point after he falls in, rather than just panic and try to climb out immediately. Falling any further could have been fatal/unreachable to rescue and that move shows an experienced alpine skier.

As an outdoor instructor it pleased me very much to see a group so well equipped not only with the appropriate gear but also the knowledge to use it. Awesome effort to stay calm and execute a quality rescue...

This is bringing back memories of hours and hours long stay on a cornice at snowbird I was skiing in a place where there was nobody 4 hours and I got stuck over a cliff in a cornice I thought if I just moved an inch the cornice would break off and I'd fall hundreds of feet to the ground into the rocks and waited there with my skis crossed for a long long time thinking somebody would see me but it's night time started to get closer I decided to risk it and get up and get out of there obviously I made it out but let me tell you this video brings back some scary memories of dying on the hill when I got down off that mountain I went to the store and bought enough junk food stuff my face for a couple of days and stayed inside

Novice en montagne, je me permets de demander. Qu'est ce qu'il l'empêche d'enlever ses skis et de remonter par le trou dans lequel il est tombé ? Est il blessé ? N'a t'il pas un piolet pour se relever dans ce trou ? (Ca parait évident pour vous, mais vu que ce n'est pas une avalanche il n'y a pas de poids sur lui..)

Un cauchemard, vraiment... je n'ose même pas imaginer le degré d'angoisse ressenti quand on commence à s'enfoncer sans rien voir arriver. Heureusement que tu étais accompagné, seul je n'imagine même pas.

Bonjour, je suis passé à qques mètres à ski de vous ce jour là. Il n'y avait aucune crevasse visible. Je n'ai vu que le guide suisse à genoux et un des jeunes de son groupe qui commençaient à frapper la glace pour, je crois faire un ancrage. Je n'ai même pas vu le trou... Je n'ai compris ce qu'il se passait qu'en voyant vos compagnons sous la cassure remonter à toute vitesse et appeler l hélico. Ils m'ont ensuite raconté l aventure complète dans la benne le soir. A chaque fois que je vois la vidéo j'ai des frissons et je me dis que je ne ferai plus jamais le fou à la descente sur les glaciers.
