If I could catch burbot when I'm hungry and walleye when I'm hungry and bored, that would be the ticket. Burbot boiled in Sprite is so much better than any walleye I've ever enjoyed.

Emotions run high and adrenaline kicks in but when the fish get to the hole you got to guide them in stead of horse them thru. Sometimes that works but often youll lose more than land. Thats where alot of people lose their fish when fish feel that hook snag the ice theyll scrape to pull out the hook. Youll get the hang of it after tons more disappointment. Nice catch.

I was trying to catch burbot into the early morning hours last night and all I could catch was those nasty walleye! Ha, ha! ;) Really wanted some burbs.

Of course Walleye , my first Eelpout at night grabbed it pulled out of hole it wrapped around my wrist 🗣️. Not bad eating fish. Great job on video! PS did you change your lights to Green and Gold

Yes, they LOVE to curl up!! I did not change to green and gold lol - I'm too much of a Vikings fan (although frequently disappointed ha)
