I really think these boots exemplify Demna’s vision for the brand, especially at his time at Vetements, the different shape and the scuff marks that make them unique to each wearer. My pair got some stares at the mall which was nice.

I have those boots and can relate to every single problem mentioned here cos I have experienced them all! The worst was when I put on two pairs of socks and had actually had to stop and remove one pair cos how the mid and front dorsum of the foot were completely cut off of any blood circulation whatsoever! Having said that, I still keep wearing them and still love them so much! All I do is just avoid taking public transportation and the stairs as much as possible lol.

Me personally I like when my boots or shoes get the natural scuffing or distress look. It adds more character to the boot…PLUS it shows you are getting your moneys worth

I walked down stairs in mine and I almost faceplanted into a wall. They've gotten better in terms of comfort over the week I've been wearing them but def took breaking in. I'm usually a 43 and went down to a 42. Only issue is the forefoot are where it starts going up. Thats snug but its gotten a bit looser with wear.

Have their rope boots from last season and strike boots, they're an equal fit, but I can definitely relate with your sentiments toward their designers lmao. TTS they're loose, one size down and the instep section hurts just like your experience in those. If the leather troopers are made with their pull-up calf skin, you'd maybe have the same experience but with the probable benefit of stretching and moulding through use. I find myself falling back to McQueen boots for long events/walking and I'd recommend them for comfort with a bit of stylistic flair.

Its really interesting to hear that these boots are too tight around the top of the foot because my experience with the Bottega puddle boots is the same! I love them but depending on how thick the socks are they either really hurt along the top of my foot or I slide around a little inside. Anyways... when I sit down at uni I sometimes take them off 🥲

I have a solution hun, remove the double socks and use thin one then use an insole from another pair of shoes similar to the size of the boots and place them inside reducing the space in the heal area

I have the puddle BOTTEGA’s, they are also rubber. if I put on two pairs of socks my instep tightens so much that it hurts, but the worst thing I notice is that because they are rubber my feet never get warm and it seems that the socks get wet, do these do the same?

hey have you come up with any solutions? i have a pair and the right boot is so painful... i might see if a cobbler can remove the sole? doesn't seem possible to expand the shoe with heat bc of the rubber.. anyway, any tips would be so appreciated !

Joel, I think since you sized down you cant be wearing the two pairs of socks! Mine are a size 41 (im tts size 42) and are still too big I tried wearing two socks and it makes the arch hurt so bad!!

These guys… I really like them. As yourself I am between 42 and 43, size 42 fitted perfect but looked huge on me, 41 looked perfect but was tight in the exact same area. Figured not for me and unfortunately had to move on… The leather version runs even bigger, 42 was huge but 41 was comfy, I assume because not rubber 😂

I sized down a whole size. They technically fit but wearing them all day makes my feet feel like they are suffocating. The new grey colorway is so dope and I want them. Buttttt the way the foot pain is set up… lol Side note can’t wait until the shiny silver space loafers are released!!
