@@philly1076 Aww THANK YOU!!! Seriously makes my day! I've done a lot of solo traveling while I was living in Valencia. Valencia is SUPER safe and underrated in my opinion It's a MUST VISIT, pretty much all of Spain is pretty safe. Madrid/ Barcelona has a lot of good vegan spots I have a Barcelona and Spain video too..Granada is a MUST visit as well for culture, Seville, Malaga ..I really want to visit the north too like San Sebastian

I love Spanish cuisine, but I would not say second in the world …, because so many cuisines in the world are excellent . as a long haul flight attended and a real food lover, I traveled during 30 years around the world and when you compare I don’t think it’s as refined as Asian cuisine… like Thai, Vietnamese, Korean,Japanese and most of all Indian! Because it’s the place where all those excellent spices, herbs and foods comes from… in the past explorers came back from Asia with tons of good stuff, including pasta and rice , which is the base of a lot of cuisines in the world , Italian and Spanish as well. I have mixed origins myself: French, Sicilian and Tunisian… and I truly love their cuisines, but I’m aware that oriental cuisine including middle eastern cuisine influenced all of our food culture in Europe. Arabic’s were big travelers and they were spreading those good spices and food around the world, especially in North Africa and Spain as they settled in Iberia for 8 centuries… ! When I eat in Spain, I have the impression to be in Tunisia … even Spanish is a language derived from Arabic…. So when Spain started to conquer the world, they spread their ( eastern influenced cuisine all over southern America ) that’s how I’ve eaten arepas in Argentina and I realized it’s exactly the same as fricassé in Tunisia 🫓! That’s why, I believe that the more we travel, the more we appreciate each other’s cuisines . That’s also the reason why fusion cuisine is so popular nowadays…. we should not be in competition anymore but work together using each other’s culinary expertise so that one day we’ll consider fusion or international cuisine as the best cuisine ever !

@@momo160769 You are entitled to fancy any world cuisine. This ranking was based on a panel of top chefs considering variables like regional variety, etc. I bet you if you move away from an airport there are thousands of spanish dishes in every region unknown to even Spaniards. The same happens with Italian cuisine. You will not taste a Napolitana pizza anywhere else in Italy or the world. French cuisine is far more elaborated and sophisticated but has less regional variations as compared to Italian and Spanish cuisines . As per the Spanish language, it doesn't come from Arabic, but vulgar Latin like Italian, Portuguese, French, Rumanian, Catalán, Gallician, Valencian, etc. Having said that, 7 centuries of shared history left a footprint in the Spanish culture and language. For instance, surgery procedures, mathematics, astronomy, etc were introduced in Europe by the moors through Spain and the Middle East in the Middle Ages (Vlll - XlV), up until the Renaissance (XVl century) brought about a new scientific paradigm.
