I am a Christian Jamaican woman, but I’ve always admired the Rastas in Jamaica… their way of life. They have been vegans long before veganism became a thing in the West… they are usually calm, peaceful, down-to-earth, and so conscious. I’m loving this video.

In Jamaica perhaps/undoubtedly, but most certainly not in the world. The Buddists_india, China…. And the men don’t look that healthy (especially their teeth which is very unusual for African people as we have the most beautiful teeth on the planet), so I think something nutritional is missing from their diet.

Of course it's not real food in the west..how can you feed all this millions of people with real food???its impossible....find a solution....its impossible for the world to live like this otherwise everyone will run to live like that....But sadly times and people move forward we can't stay at the same place forever....This people have no job to go to them don't have to think how the plane flying how internet and mobile phone function how a car will be running how to study the weather satellite. So this kind of life its ok for a very small group of people but most of the world don't want to live in the bush. We used to live like that 1000 years ago but somehow we ddnt stay to live like that...

@@albania8982You are probably correct in that not everyone wants to live "in the bush". All Rastafari don't live in seclusion...if we did, the world wouldn't knw so much about the culture. We have mansions and drive cars...fly on planes just like you...some of us even fly the planes. Yes, there are many things Rastafari can...and will do. What we won't do is stray away from our natural selves, from nature, from the earth and the heavens. From the teachings of His Imperial Majesty. Emperor Haile Selassie I....1 perfect love. ❤

Anyway glad that you met people who are serious about their relationship with the Most High.....its a shame that the chap you went with didn't realise how significant that this trip to the village was...its not a trivial for thing....for rudeness.. Thanks Tayo for bringing us another fresh perspective of the rasta community in Jamaica 🇯🇲. I'm not a rasta but I 've always loved them, I have a brother who is. They are highly spiritual, they love nature and want it in tact. They understand their African connections and hope to one day set their feet on the continent they were once pulled out from. I hope to visit and enjoy this off grid life. I paused when they took you to their worship place, you got to be careful with that, it's not for everyone, what they do there is capable of taking them into a spiritual reams, very deep.

I love how every religion/way of life has a piece of the truth and how they have beauty, noticing! its the extremes, if we could find the balance, everyone will be able to see each other as other humans and stop all this senseless war, Billions and Billions that could have went to the advance of the human race as a whole, with all the bad options out there strictly for a profit, its hard to really be natural and get to this harmony, as a people we will have to make unhealthy things and options obsolete, completely banned and illegal for it not to be distributed in the first place. I wish we could all be natural in a balance with Our surrounding, I truly do.

Thank you for this great video about Rastafari. I have studied Rastafari since I was a Youth and know the ways of Rastafari. Even though I am a Caucasian American. I have visited Jamaica in 1995 and lived in the Hills and Mountains of Montpelier is located near the western boundary of Saint James Parish, Jamaica, approximately 10 kilometres from the parish's capital Montego Bay.. I lived with the Don of the town who was a Natural Food and Ganja Farmer. i ate, drank, bathed and smoked directly from the Earth. I lived in a tent next to his old 1 bedroom shack with his wife and many children. They were vary generous and caring and friendly. I will never for get my experience and i long to go back someday to Visit Montpelier Jamaica. I also stayed in a tent in Negril a few feet from the Beach. It was a beautiful experience. I even bought a Nyabinghi drum in Montego Bay Market. I still have that drum today. I have played drum set and keyboards in many Reggae bands over the years. I love Reggae and Dub music and the Rastafari way of life and culture! One Love and Respect to Tayo for making this video for the world to see!!! JAH Bless to One and All!!! 🤔 depends on who you ask I guess. Rastafari, sometimes called Rastafarianism, is an Abrahamic religion that developed in Jamaica during the 1930s. It is classified as both a new religious movement and a social movement by scholars of religion. There is no central authority in control of the movement and much diversity exists among practitioners, who are known as Rastafari, Rastafarians, or Rastas.

@@worldgonemad1152that’s a the wiki and AI definition. But, no Rasta will say it is a religion and that should be respected. I live in the other Jamaica. 😂 Brooklyn, NY. My ex-hubby is a Rasta and even though they have influences from Ethiopia’s Coptic Tewahedo Religion which may predate Christianity (I am pretty convinced but that doesn’t make it factual). It’s still disputed, but they have good reasons to not consider this a religion. I understand how the world classifies it, but much like all else, folks should be allowed to self-identify and determine their own classification. I understand why it isn’t a religion. But, I also understand why the rest of us are so gung-ho on labeling things and it needs to stop.
