The snow storm finally arrived and we got hit hard with 2-3' of snow within a couple days.
Going by from the city to the middle of the nowhere Utah. After living in the city our whole lives we decided to sell everything. We packed up and moved our family of 4 and sometimes 6 into our RV. When using your circular saw adjust the blade so just the carbide teeth are showing under the wood. That way you'll get less chipping when you cut.

I'm wondering if you've thought about extending the roof down(under soffit to about 7 feet high above the outside handrail ) to cover the stairs and deck and give you a place to store firewood right outside the door while keeping snow/rain off the stairs?

Back in my high school days Pioneer super tuners, Alpine and Jensen was the deck of choice to play your cassette decks, and no vibrating. The decade was not a thing then nor is it now for me or ever

When you straighten the jeep steering wheel, make sure to not break the "clock spring" cable. It's a ribbon cable in the steering wheel for the horn and cruise control if it has it. It is a pain to replace with the airbag that is in the wheel. If you turn it the wrong direction when you straighten it, it could break when it's turned fully to one side. I don't remember which way makes it tighter.

I learned how to drive in the hay field when I was 6. Well I was steering the truck which was in 1st gear going on its own. Don't see that much anymore, most ranchers use round bales and feed with tractors.

Poke (drill) a hole in the drywall behind the TV and drop the wires down to the outlet below. There is an outlet below… I hope. 😂 love your design. ❤️

We already have the hole behind the TV and below for them to come out and plug into the electronics. We just don’t bother doing it until the media center install.

You should make a gaming cabinet in the shelf under the TV with a fold down door for access as well as to hide everything. You can put shelves for consoles, games, controllers ect. Plus’s you can hide all the electronics cords coming down the walls right into the console cabinet.

I enjoyed seeing Charlie out in the snow, he was sure having a blast. I really like Charlie, great dog and companion. Rickie and Buba are getting big and it was cool seeing them sit on Nick's lap as he was teaching them how to steer and avoid the trees. Everyone had a great time out cruising around and plowing in the snow. Loved seeing the kids walking in the deep snow. The shelving unit turned out nice and you are making good progress on the entertainment center. My son has a high horsepower/performance show car and Al & Ed's Stereo sponsored him and put in a very high end, over the top, custom audio system. It includes (2) 15" Rockford Fosgate subs! Talk about hitting hard ... too much for my liking but it's great at the car shows 🤪 Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

This one brought back some great memories. When I was about your kids age, I would wait at the end of the alley that we lived on for my dad to come home from work. I'd jump on his lap and steer all the way home down the alley, only about 200 feet, but it's one of my favorite memories of time with my dad. I'm now just shy of my 72nd birthday.

Love your building adventures. One thing that worry me is what going to happen when there is a blizzard, one of the kids get ill. Will you make it out of there. A suggestion.. Check ambition strikes. Looks great. Guys. Get yourself a small honda snowblower and leave it on the deck. It will make quick work of removing that snow. Also. Happy wife Happy Life. But that still don't change my mind on the front of the entertainment center. No doors. Im, with Nick on this. Maybe you can build doors and see if you like them and if Not just remove them. Just a thought. That storm really packed a punch. It cleaned the streets here in LA and the air as well. Local mountains got alot of snow. Love it..

I’ll admit, I felt bad for the kitties having to be out in the cold and snow, and eating their food like that ☹️ There are lots of cool tips and videos online about building cold-weather shelters and stuff for outdoor cats. Even if they spend a lot of time in the garage under the apartment, it’s still exposed to the cold.

We originally had 2 feral cats. Then a neighbors cat came and mated with ours. Now we have a total of 6. We will probably put the 4 kitties up for adoption this spring. The snow can definitely be hard to deal with. But honestly it’s extremely beautiful and as long as you’re prepared you can enjoy it.
