Dhananjay, a resident of Delhi's Adarsh Nagar, was enjoying an outing with his friends at the Entertainment City water park in the Great India Place (GIP) mall on the afternoon of April 7, 2024.
According to reports, Dhananjay appeared to be in good health and spirits as he enjoyed various rides at the park. However, after riding one particular slide, he began experiencing difficulty breathing and complained of feeling unwell. Despite receiving prompt attention from park staff and a doctor on-site, his condition worsened rapidly.
Efforts were made to rush Dhananjay to Kailash Hospital in Noida Sector 27, but tragically, he was declared dead upon arrival. The cause of his sudden demise remains uncertain, although initial investigations have ruled out drowning or external injuries. It has been noted that Dhananjay's heart was situated differently from the norm, but whether this contributed to his death is yet to be determined.
The incident has sparked controversy, with Dhananjay's family alleging negligence on the part of the GIP mall management. They claim that timely medical attention could have saved Dhananjay's life. However, mall authorities have refuted these accusations, asserting that they provided immediate assistance and handled the situation appropriately.
Virender Tyagi, the head of security at GIP Mall, stated that Dhananjay had complained of stomach pain, prompting staff to offer medical assistance. Despite their efforts, Dhananjay's condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to the decision to seek further medical intervention.
The Noida Police have launched an investigation into the matter, collecting CCTV footage and questioning witnesses, including Dhananjay's friends, park staff, and medical personnel. They await the results of forensic tests to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Dhananjay's untimely demise.
