Honestly, plave is so incredibly talented. It’s rare to find a group in the K-pop industry that produces their songs, writes their lyrics, and make their own choreography. Plus, their vocal skills r on a whole other level. The group is very well rounded in everything and have amazing personalities. I strongly believe if they chose to debut without being virtual they would have been even more popular. I love loveee plave and the whole virtual idea is super cool! I enjoy it a lot as it keeps their work and private life separate. It help keep their life privacy and safer. However, as a plli I know that a lot of K-pop fans do not like to branch outside of their fav groups, so the whole virtual experience can be something they stay away from. That’s why I believe if they were a “human” group they would’ve easily grown and reached the top quickly. Plus, all their songs r like the best ever !! But I also think the virtual idea is what draws attention and is what highlights them and makes them different from any other group. I love everything they do, but I wish we could see them participate in a lot of the other things the “human” idols do as well.

Even though PLAVE have good vocals and talents, there are a lot of groups that have too. So, they definitely won't stand out at all. Just like other music groups, but PLAVE has another weakness: their company is a start-up company. They didn't have good communication at first, that why Yejun and Noah also had to do busking to promote the group's image to everyone. From my perspective, if PLAVE were “human”, they would’ve reached the top more difficult. And debut as Vtubers has helped them become out of the way than other groups. Do you know what helps them promote their image the most? Those were the videos that they had glitches because of the models, it attracted a lot of people. And another reason is the malicious comments aimed at them on KZfaq. I've heard that Korean KZfaq will often suggest videos with a lot of comments to viewers, so anti-comments on their videos have helped PLAVE’s videos be suggested to more people. Honestly, I'm very grateful to those antis, thanks to them, PLAVE’s image is promoted more. Anh then many people realized how good their music, how talented they are.☺️ So their current successes also show that it was completely worth it for them to take a big risk in Kpop to debut as Vtubers. And now they can protect their privacy too. Even though there are many antis targeting this, but at least they can be more comfortable with their own lives than other idols. Especially with the weird prejudices about artists' private lives in Kpop.

@@Jiahnfools Como tal, a mi no me incómoda, normalmente yo sigo a los artistas por como cantan (no tanto por verlos) es lo mismo (hasta más) ellos tienen que aguantar un traje y con el bailar y cantar (en vivo) todos sus lives y todo siempre es en vivo, ellos componen, escriben y producen su música y coreos, creó son muy completos como para ver nimiedades como "no se les ve la cara" al contrario, eso demuestra que los siguen por su talento y no como a muchos que les dicen "solo caras bonitas" con eso se evitan el acosó y tienen privacidad.

This is a very late response: They do not use AI, their movements and expressions are captured in real time using Mocap technology. ( similar to how animation is recorded for some movies or video games ) If you have ever heard of a Vtuber- they are very similar to that. A real person just using a Virtual Avatar. They are 100% real people and create all their music themselves as you said! ( with some help noted in their credits. ) They have 3 members who work mainly in music production, and 2 who focus on choreography. Then their staff/company does the stuff behind the virtual aspects like models, stages, and the gear for the real time motion tracking for them! They company responsible for them basically used tech intended for video games to do their characters and visuals that we see :)

they wont "replace" kpop idols cuz they are apart of them😭 just that they're virtual which is a nice fresh change of things because I was not a kpop fan in particular because I don't see the interest in stanning "REAL PEOPLE" - although PLAVE is real people too. Because stanning KPOP idols directly feel weird to me. I like PLAVE because it's concept is really cool especially since it gives PLAVE's real artists behind them privacy. I never necessarily saw the appeal of collecting selfies of real life people if you're gonna worry about "AI" even though PLAVE isn't even AI, why don't you worry about people inappropriately obsessing over real peoples faces they don't even know who?also PLAVEs music is amazing as well as their vocals, humour, content. I bet the fact nobody can analyse their every move since they are virtual gives them more comfort letting them act natural rather than walking on eggshells as they won't encounter sasaeng much. And virtual idols give people who have potential with their vocals and dancing that did not meet beauty standards which I think is a really nice change and good nature. Don't think of it as "replacement" everyone should think of it as a variety of change, because honestly as a non kpop fan (who only liked KPOP songs not the actual idols) I think it's a really nice variety of change. I hear your concerns but I just think this perspective I've said is something to consider. also to explain more about PLAVE they are not ai! They are just like virtual youtubers - example ironmouse, shoto. Although VLASTS technology is more advanced! As they wear motion capture suits so it captures whatever the person is wearing the suits actions and emotions expressed~ everyone has their own preferences and i myself can't even begin on how I even started to stan plave like an actual kpop fan hahah it just happened, and I think everyone should give them a chance if theyre not your cup of tea its totally okay! but I hope nobody feels the need to shame PLAVE and their fans, PLLI. Its not a cartoon. I dont stand them and only find out aboyt them 5 hours ago but even I can do some research before commenting. Its not cartoon or AI generated. Its just another k-group. IT IS HUMAN. They just wear motion capture suit. There also Japanese kpop group who also did this. All of their shows,music video was done by real people wearing Motion capture suit. So ONLY on concert people would see their real face and their is also rules to not take a pic or record it since its supposed to be a secret between the idol and the fans that attending. I didnt stan both of them (i am loyal to exo lol) but please educate yourself before commenting. Those 5 people worked hard for it just like other idols. They just didnt show they real face😂

Hey! I wanna inform you the name of the japanese group that used the same concept as plave... its STRAWBERRY PRINCE! They do have a difference tho..in mv they used they anime face (motion capture) while in they shows,they just put a sticker of their own persona on their face. So uts human body,sticker of the character in the idol face. While plave, as you can see, used motion capture all the time. Thats why all they whole body is a cartoon even tho the video were taken by human.
