So true. No matter how popular Magnetic became they should move away from short robotic songs. Try to repeat same success with songs that take advantage of the live part. That's the challenge.

Unfortunately their Q3 comeback has probably already been planned since their debut so I’m not sure if we will see a much of difference then in terms of songs that suit their vocals the best, but I’m hoping soon we can see that. I think their songs lack diversity in vocal range and we have seen Wonhee’s ability to hit higher notes here and in R U Next, I think magnetic was too safe of a song and landed in most of their middle ranges, which doesn’t usually develop in singers until the age of 20. Belift needs to take chances and give them dynamic songs to show their vocal high and lows, and create parts in the choreography where they can be not moving during those parts. And for our dancing queen iroha, they can keep the difficult choreography to showcase that talent, but just modify the parts for the vocal talents of the group to give ILLIT the chance to showcase their live vocals as well.

@@kmkepics If the Q3 comeback is Sep when Enhypen has July and Le Sserafim had a earlier comeback before Illit's debut and if we are looking at a studio album (Belift prefer to release studio albums in late summer/fall like Big Hit) then there is still some time. March to Sep is a very long gap when they prepared three months for their debut. Le Sserafim will get the Aug release. If it's also a studio album there is more chance for branching out and take risks. I didn't like the fact that Illit didn't have a main music producer. There were producers all over the place like a factory. Belift's production team was not even involved which is insane for a Belift group. Wonderkid is Enhypen's producer and he is mentor to Cashcow who produced Desperate for R U Next. I don't understand Belift's decision to not appoint Cashcow as Illit's producer from day one. Did you watched the first episode of the documentary? Belift claimed the market was oversaturated so they had to go with short robotic songs to stand out. Say what?! There are still many questions unanswered like fan club name and details about Summer Moon. This team that handles Illit are not good for them. Enhypen's team did a much better job. We got fan club name before their debut on their youtube channel. Their documentary was 45 min long each episode and was uploaded on Hybe Labels channel to gain more attraction, just like what Source Music did with Le Sserafim's documentary but was only 20 min long each episode.

I love this! I also wish Hybe/Be:Lift would do what JYP now does with releasing those stage practice videos (like the ones Itzy and NMixx released) where it's just the girls in the practice room doing their choreo but also singing live. Once JYP started doing that, they stopped getting as much flack for their idols' vocals compared to the type of criticism groups like Twice got. It also takes away the stress of the audience and crowd, and if there are any one-off mistakes they can just shoot the video again. I wish they would do this!!!!

It was Slow Rabbit and hitman bang from Big Hit, Ju-hwan Noh from Source Music and contracted Western producers. To say Hybe was not involved is a understatement lol. Vincenzo was only credited for all songs in the lyrics segment. He is not a music producer at Belift like Wonderkid and Cashcow. Instead of having a main music producer from day one like BTS with Pdogg, TXT with Slow Rabbit, Enhypen with Wonderkid and Le Sserafim with 13 (Megatone/Score) Illit got a factory with producers all over the place. The end result? Short robotic songs and one big mess for the members' vocal range.

Wonderkid can't be his mentor forever. Like Yunah and Minju said in the episode 2 of the documentary they are not used to bright and refreshing songs with their vocal range. They are more comfortable with dark or powerful songs. This is also a uncommon territory for Belift when they are known for dark songs. Where did this brightful direction came from if not Belift? Big Hit and Pledis are known for brighter and refreshing songs aside from ADOR. Ju-hwan Noh joined Source Music last year to prepare a song for Le Sserafim's comeback and ILLIT's debut. Belift got help from Big Hit and Source Music and Belift's production team was ignored. If they say ILLIT's comeback will be darker then Cashcow has probably prepared to become ILLIT's main music producer. The members tried brighter and refreshing songs and didn't fit their vocal range. In R U Next they covered more powerful and dark songs with heavy concepts. I think Belift got a little ahead of themselves with ILLIT being unlimited versatile. They are versatile but not in the same range to master songs from Super Real Me.
