The first thing I did this morning when I woke up was to switch on the TV and watched the UK election coverage. Rishi Sunak was trounced at the poll by Kier Starmer. It was a landslide.
Plus, for some reason, the morning was rather light. As we were approaching a long weekend, quite a few of the patients in clinic did not turn up. Maybe they have escaped for a long getaway.
So, I managed to finish the afternoon rounds early, got my paperworks sorted and was home in time for an early dinner.
We decided to try Thai Moment which we stopped by last weekend while exploring Telawi. The dinner was nice and being the first ones there, we got to pick the best spot. As it was about to rain outside, sitting by the large window on the first floor overlooking the busy street downstairs was nice. It would have lovelier if it was raining heavily.
The tomyam was great, but the "weeping tiger" was rather too dry for my liking. We skipped dessert as we were already full. The next stop was at Em's for more cookies. Idlan walloped them the last time we bought him the soft cookies. He loved them.
We got back home before Maghrib and had a quiet night in. There were a couple of good games on Euro 2024 tonight. At midnight, host Germany would be taking on Spain. And the, Portugal playing France at 3 am. Will Ronaldo put on a Biden?
