Actually in the last chapter of the entire serie (New York, I Love You, xoxo) Dan recalls the first time he met Serena, and how he tells the story, he sounded a lot like Joe. Quite creppy btw . "Once I was inside, I wasn´t leaving because that´s when I saw You"

+Lee Mona I don't think it's as awkward as we think. It happens ALLL the time on these shows that have long runnings. I'm sure it's a conversation that's had before anything gets serious and a conversation they have when they break up. They still have to do their job like anyone else does.
