Main thing most people don’t do is the oil galley plug, oil pump girdle and rear main seal. Do those for sure! I’d replace the oil pump with a melling pump while you’re there. Take your time and bag/label the bolts you’re gonna reuse and you’ll be fine. As far as a stall I’d just go yank or circle d 3600-3800. Multi disc if the pocketbook allows but it’s not entirely necessary.

Get a oil pump while your there won’t have to worry about your oil pressure dropping in the future as for a stall I’d go with a 3200 stall should be plenty for that cam I personally like Circle D exhaust long tubes xpipe & I like how borla sounds with these crammed trucks maybe like a xr1 or a proxs

While it’s apart replace oil pump, timing chain, etc! And 3200-3800 stall is noice. CircleD converters are the best, and go’head and do remain seal also while the trans is out. Then headers, no cats, xpipe(ALWAYS do an xpipe when yall do exhaust), and I’m a BIG fan of 3” in 3” out Stainless Works S-Tube mufflers on our trucks.

You should do a SS clone out of your 4 door

Ls motors are the easiest engines to work on. Take your time. Organize all ya nuts and bolts. Go with at least a 2800 converter. And find a good tuner.
