25- An "Extremely Practical" BBCF Full Roster Combo Video

Computer woes are not solved but I was at least able to make a finished product I'm satisfied with. Shame it took so long but I'm much happier than if I'd rushed recreating it.
Genuinely pretty happy with this on the whole. During the creation process there were a couple of characters I was a little unsure of but honestly I think pretty much every combo has at least one aspect that will make you say "dang, that's pretty neat". It's getting a little harder to get combos this long thanks to BBCF's 11 second rule, but surprisingly characters like Azrael and Tager who I thought would be nightmarish turned out to go smoother than I anticipated. I even made a Carl combo I'm actually legitimately happy with which is a first because I really dislike trying to work stuff out for him ordinarily. I will say that the presence of that rule has made it quite clear to me that there is a definite endpoint to how far I can push it, but I'd say I'm a fair ways away for most of the cast still.
I have ideas for 26 already, and I'm considering even releasing a cutting room floor type video where I show ideas that I think are more or less impossible to turn into full combos but are still kind of cool. So despite the delay with this one, I have no desire to stop just yet. Stay tuned.

Yeah these videos always take a while to make but I'm usually pretty satisfied with the finished product so it's worth the time I think. Also yeah, I never actually played tvc but I came across the soundtrack not too long ago, it's honestly pretty great

Nice one... Now do susanoo's without his seals unlocked from the start- Also, i know you said "no easy way out", but why didn't you go the hakumen infinite route straight up? At least you don't "divide" the combo that way

Thank you :) Starting with Susan's seals is only possible in training mode as far as I know, and in the training mode options you can set which seals are unlocked and what level they're at. It's a fair point about Hakumen but there are two main reasons for it. The first is that it's actually not possible to do a "full" infinite like that all the way to 25 hits because of a mechanic in Blazblue where hitstun inflicted by moves is reduced the more time passes since the first hit, and anything past 11 seconds will cause the opponent to only experience a single frame of hitstun for the majority of moves (the timer stops during hitlag and superflashes etc. which is why several combos appear to go longer than 11 seconds). You can see this in a couple of combos in this video in fact, like in Terumi's, Makoto's and Kokonoe's. The other reason is that, since this is the third in my little series, I've already done stuff like that where I mash the two moves in a row for a majority of it already, and I don't like reusing ideas too much if I can avoid it. That's part of why I did the mid-combo counter thing in spite of it not being "real"; I thought it was a cool idea that's still technically a combo in spite of needing the opponent to cooperate. Unfortunately I still had to repeat the infinite chain for this combo a bit anyway... Hakumen is just annoying for this specific challenge, hahahah

About the Hakumen one, have you tried starting a combo with OD Yukikaze? It's a multi hit.

Good question! It's something I've sort of avoided for a number of reasons; I don't really enjoy using OD before the start of a combo, and yukikaze also hits a whole bunch of times in OD, way more than most multihit supers, to the point where getting a few extra hits in feels relatively uninteresting (broadly I try to to use supers/EAs that hit more than ~8ish times). That said, perhaps even getting 6-7 hits in without the use of Mugen would make it sufficiently difficult or interesting? it's something to consider for sure but on the whole it's just not the sort of thing that fits with what I;m looking for with these sorts of combos.

@@Lilio_ I see, multi hits are kind of cheat as you also stated in the intro of the video. Though, there are some weird setups where you use Yukikaze mid combo (without the combo resetting), for example against Kokonoe's Super Fireball, and those might be cool to check out!

True, I think in the older videos I specifically mentioned that they had to be "true" combos but I think most people implicitly expect that and I follow the rule anyway (with the possible exception of Hakumen... but then again, it's not a blue combo so :^) )

Yeah man, I didn't realise it myself but that move is super easy to go into, I thought I'd need to rapid cancel into it but nope, you can just cancel into it from specials. It's also only like three frames long ignoring super flash so it's basically just a cooler rapid cancel, it's ridiculous.

That line about "being comboed for 20 real seconds is not that fun" really spoke to me. I had the worst matches ever this morning. I was against someone playing Noel, who basically put me in the corner, and mashed D until I died. It was some of the least fun I've had playing this game

I like to show off the impossible in videos like this, crazy hypotheticals like Hakumen's fully charged 6C actually hitting an opponent and a Naoto player without broken fingers
