Welcome to our tiny home tour! Birdie is our 1996 25' Blue Bird bus that we, along with the assistance of many talented people, renovated into our home. We had the exterior completely restored, raised the roof 12", and added RV windows for optimal light and insulation. Inside, the bus is about 185 square feet. It is equipped with everything we need; a kitchen, couch with storage, dining table, and coffee station. We also have a bathroom with the Nature's Head composting toilet and sink; wardrobe and lofted bed with storage underneath. The bus feels like a small apartment rather than a bus, and we are grateful for how spacious it is. We hope you enjoy seeing our space.

Why do people have to always judge? If you can’t handle a shower, then put a shower in yours. These lovelies are living their life.

I agree I was all in til the no shower part too I can't imagine livng without one in my space but I guess some people are ok with it

Jennifer Harris I agree. I would hate begging friends to use their shower. I would need to have my own space. The design is nice, but I also thought the bed was to high. I don’t understand if they wanted to utilize the space, why half of the space isn’t used. I would have hung up my clothes under the bed and used the closet as the shower. 😁. The colors are nice and calming though.

As someone that lived without a shower, but had one at the gym and nearby relatives. I don't believe you... not having a shower is an absolute nightmare!

Haha well it is harder for sure at times not having one in the bus but for us we have access to a real shower room at our parking spot as well as an outdoor shower if we need it. So far it really hasn’t been that bad.

This is soooo pretty. And the use of the closet in front of the bathroom was a well thought out design. You could consider putting your bed on a garage lift. It secures to the ceiling and then releases down for bed use that way since you are short you can access underneath better. So light and fresh.

Probably one of the best designs In a bus that I've seen. Yes a shower would be nice but you indicated where you park has a shower room. No biggie! Nice job

The bus design is so awesome. Using every inch of space. Love the feel an look of it. Feels more like a home than a bus. If I finally committ to the life I would like something like this.

One of the best builds I've seen [and I've seen quite a lot of them}. Just the right amount of everything. No clutter yet no wanting for anything else visually. If there were a grading system I'd given it 5 stars. Oh , wtf, I give it 5 stars😉😉😉😋😋😋😊😊😊

I have seen so many of these conversions and this stands out as one of the cleanest designs I've seen. A masterpiece. The sense of space that has been created,the light that enters and a true quality feng shui feel throughout is obvious to anyone that appreciates that kind of thing. A great environment to be in. Cost ya 2 grand a month in New York.

I know people keep saying no shower, but I think the bus is perfect and you made the conscious choice to not have one. I love the decor and how well it is finished. How long have you been in it?

Thanks so much, Roland. Yea, we didn't want any more humidity in the bus by adding in a shower and with access to showers, it really hasn't too much of an issue for us. We are coming up on a year of being in the bus in a few months. I'm sure we'll do video then of what we've learned. Thanks for the support!

We are stationary most of the time so we are hooked into water and power we are hooked up to 30amp

Lovely bus! I like it a lot. I want a shower in mine, because I want to travel all weathers, all seasons, but other than that, everything seems just about perfect.

This is absolutely one of the NICEST conversion I've seen yet! Great floor plan and even better decor. You were straight to the point of the video, didn't waste our time with fillers. I didn't skip the video timeline. Absolutely love this bus. Very good job.

Yeah they could have maybe put the shower over the wheel well and kept the toilet under the sink to be pulled out in need but other than that this might be one of the beat builds

WOW, I have watched so many Skoolie tours and never come across your home before. It's beautiful, So perfectly laid out. I adore the whitewash, overall a beautiful home. If you have a baby you could put the bed right under your bed, plenty of room like put the bed on a larger more heavy duty slide rails. I can't get over why I haven't seen your Skoolie before. Oh and that's my Mom's real name Birdie how cute is that.

Absolutely the best layout I've seen, so much so that I'm saving it in it's own folder labeled "#1 Skoolie Build. I read a lot of the comment to get some of my questions answered and noticed a lot of people comment about not having a shower. I wonder if they watched/listen to the entire video. Living by the beach, near family members or friends that open their showers to you, make it unnecessary to have a shower inside, so I think you both nailed it. I know it's no longer a tiny home, but I'm sure if was perfect for you guys for the time you needed it. I plan to build one on my property as an Air BNB and plan to take the entire front seat out. I wish you both the best!

I love the colors, the storage is cool.the can area would work for Edgar ( spider plant) I'm 6'4" tall and single so the bathroom is enough space. You both rocked it to the max.

you guys made your bus absolutely beautiful! i love the whitewashed boards on the ceiling, wallpaper behind the toilet, fold table, bed, sink, counter, front of the bus, the outside color, too much to list!!! and the flat nosed busses are so much easier to drive. i used to drive a school bus & they are my favorite. also, school buses are the best for duribiity. it was a very smart move!

Fantastic design!!! Personally the closet would be the shower. And the bed on hydraulics would make great storage for clothing. Again great design!

Thanks so much! the original design where the closet is was going to be part of the shower but we live at the beach and have access to showers so we didn't see it being a huge deal. We can always add one in later.

I’ve seen other bus conversions and they’re just extremely scrappy. Not to say that the time is not worth the effort, but you guys have truly put amazing thought into the outcome. Love your conversion, great job! We converted a 2013 E450 Turtle Odyssey Shuttle bus in 2019 and started traveling the Southwest on November 1. It fun traveling in a tiny house on wheels, seeing new things, meeting new friends and helping others out along the way (Van Build & Skoolie Palooza) and are finishing up our conversion along the way.
