Death following cannabis use alone was rare (4% of cases, n = 136/3455). AI Overview According to a 2022 study published in the Journal of Travel Medicine, 379 people died in selfie-related accidents between 2008 and 2021, with many more injured. This number is higher than the 90 fatal shark attacks that occurred during the same time period. There's a curious fact about patenting medicines. The patent is good for only sixteen years, much of which is spent gaining official approval for the medicine; BUT, if another use for the medicine is discovered, it can be patented as a "new" medicine. The current use for Viagra was a side effect of the aforementioned high blood pressure medicine.

It's hilarious to see depictions of young Jesus wearing a cross. Oooh....spoiler! Crucifixion was a frequently-used Roman form of execution and punishment, so HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of men were crucified, not just that one guy. I often hear Christians talk about *"the man who died on the cross",* as if they don't know about all the others. (No women were crucified, though, it seems.) And there's a famous classical Italian painting of the Nativity scene -- and on the wall we can see a crucifix, as if Jesus and his family were Christians, not Jews. People unclear on the concept.....

I was attending school in 2003, and they decided to do a fire drill. The school had 3 floors. We were on the second floor. They wanted us to go to the end of the building to evacuate. I went down the other way to the first floor, and waited outside. When I got upstairs my counselor, and teacher were upset with me. I looked at them, and told them that I wasn't going to stay in like that. I said that at 911 all those people waited. The ones that left survived, and watched their coworkers die when the buildings collapse. I don't wait anywhere. I just leave. They rebuilt, and replaced everybody that died that day.

Yeah, I can understand that feeling of so much mucus being produced by our bodies every day, even though it does sound gross. I mean, no wonder anytime we sneeze because maybe we’re allergic to a certain food or something at any given point in our lives, I can see how that would make sense that our bodies are doing us a favor by cleaning our noses and throats, for instance, of whatever harmful bacteria inside us we may have that’s probably otherwise making us feel sick.

First of all the selfies vs sharks thing is troubling. We need to find a way to get the sharks numbers up. Maybe genetic engineering to make them more aggressive to humans? Or equip them with special shark weapons. That should help increase shark related deaths. Second, wow the 9/11 thing. That’s some major dedication staying to properly shut down their computers n such. Kinda impressive in a way. Do wonder the thought process behind it. Maybe they didn’t imagine it was as devestating as it actually was? N figured the building wouldn’t collapse or something?

I got COVID in 2020 my sense of taste or smell have still not completely recovered, most of the time I can't smell anything and my sense of taste is very limited, I get salty, sweet, bitter and spicy, all spicy is overwhelming, like black pepper it was too hot for me. I can taste chocolate to an extent not like before COVID but I can taste it. It has been 3.5 years and my sense of smell is about 20% of what it used to be and my sense of taste is about 50%, I had lost hope of getting either of them back, before 6 months ago, smell was 100% gone, and taste was limited to sweet and spicy, with spicy always being overwhelming, unable to handle the mildest of mild sauces.

@@AliP1970 yes some people have extreme sensitivity to spicy food, I did not have that issue before, I could eat things that were mild medium and some hot stuff, my favorite flavor was cinnamon and or ginger, now they both just burn, no pleasant flavor for me anymore just unbearable burn. Even if that was not the case, my point is that my sense of taste is so screwed up that there is no way I could have continued a job like taste tester if I had been doing it, 100% based on what COVID did to my senses of taste and smell. If that had happened to her I would guess the insurance would have had to pay out by now. I was also wondering how much time would have had to pass before they would accept the claim.

@flattop223 As a retired insurance agent and counselor, I'd be curious about that as well. I understood where you were going with your comment. I just found it interesting to hear of someone else who finds black pepper to be spicey. Normally, I just get weird looks 🤷‍♀️ I hope that you regain your senses. Have a lovely week!

People saving their work also believed that jet fuel cannot melt steel beams
@stevecarson4162
@stevecarson4162 2 ай бұрын
If they did, they were right. *Engineers* have testified that burning jet fuel is NOT hot enough to melt steel beams. According to The Scientific American journal, steel melts at a temperature of 2,777 degrees Fahrenheit, but jet fuel burns at only 1,517 degrees F. And *architects* say that high-rise reinforced steel buildings do NOT drop straight down in freefall in seconds, like THREE of the WTC towers did, including one that had never been hit by jets. It's memorial day weekend and i saw several drunk drivers on my way home yesterday. I'd like to dispute the distracted driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving. Distractions last moments and typically don't lead to huge mistakes, drunkenness last the whole way home and trust me, a lot of mistakes. I saw people turning into incoming lanes against the flow of traffic, driving in the middle of the road, using turning signals for the wrong direction, constant swerving.... It was bad.

I've read that the artificial banana flavor is so strange to us now because it was developed when all bananas were pretty much one identical breed, so once a banana plague broke out, this variety of bananas died out completely and has been replaced by another branch of the banana family that tastes different from the older, now extinct variety.
