Remember that clip of Peter holding baby Meg in the hospital, then changing her name on the birth certificate to "Megatron"? I think the reason there are no photos of Meg in the house is the running joke that everyone hates Meg.

Twice Lois has been shown in a hospital room with newborn Meg in a cutaway: Once when it is revealed that Meg's heart is in the wrong place (literally in her head) and once when Peter alters Meg's birth certificate to read "Megatron Griffin." Also, in the alternate timeline in which Peter is married to Molly Ringwald and Lois is married to Quagmire, Meg, Chris, & Stewie look the same except with Quagmire-esque chins due to Quagmire being their father instead of Peter. Had Meg been adopted, she would not have been fathered by either Peter or Quagmire (nor would Lois be her mother), so she would look the same in both timelines regardless of whom Lois married. Furthermore, there is a reference in another episode to Meg's real father being "Stan Thompson" (who has never been shown in the series), with the context & phrasing of this reveal suggesting that Meg is Lois' daughter but Meg was the product of Lois cheating on Peter (or perhaps conceiving Meg before she & Peter were married), which Peter apparently knows, as he is the one who mentions Meg's real father (whose name is then provided by Brian, without Meg hearing any of the conversation due to listening to music with headphones at the time).

One problem with the theory about Brian actually writing the show: Brian is, categorically, NOT the smartest character in the show. He only THINKS he is. Stewie is actually FAR more intelligent.

6:55 100% wrong. In Season One (or Two) there's a cut away scene to Lois laying in a hospital bed after just giving birth to Meg. The Doctor is holding her and says "Congratulations Mr. Griffin, it's a girl!" and then it shows Peter holding blue balloons and a baseball glove and a football etc. and he drops them all and says "YAY!". Also, Lois at one point refers to her being their second born child.
