Thanks for pointing out that traditional Gujarati cuisine is excellent and has nothing to do with all that cheese and butter reels that go viral on social media...those types of dishes are just experimental dishes that people love to try once or twice a month, it's not a norm or tradition in Gujarat...most people only go for traditional dishes when they are going out for dinner or breakfast

29:11 you said it yourself. Basic omlette with bread is the best combination. That pathaan dish was a complete wastage of boiled eggs and omlette, The guy was randomly pouring gravies and made the dish far more worse and to top it off he added cheese, Even in ahmedabad that ghotala dosa was complete murder of normal dosa. Frankly speaking you should have tried authentic kathiyawadi cuisine. You probably need to go to Rajkot for that. Gujarati food in ahmedabad and surat is very different compared to saurashtra cuisine.

A little further up on the highway after crossing Vasai, towards Mumbai, do visit MUSAFA Dhabha.. try their Mutton Dabang. Ultimate!

All these paratha wala places in Surat are very recent and do not represent Surti cuisine at all and were not existing until ten years back. Surat is older than Munbai and has much more diverse food to offer. Atleast get advise local Surtis if you really want to explore traditional food of Surat.
