Books! Yesssss!! I will go to the library in he beginning of summer and take out 3 JUICY books to read, especially when I am by the pool or lakeshore or even in my own back yard. Statement jewelry: As a woman I have seasonal jewelry. For the summer I wear pearls, shells, sea glass or other natural items which look and feel lighter than metals. The same with purses, hats and shoes, natural items work best.

I wear sunglasses during all seasons and have several to accommodate different outfits. They really do take your outfit to a new level. I have also found that sometimes I just don’t find some scoop neck tops or dresses to be flattering, sooo…I just flip it around leaving me with a bit of a boat neck look in the front and the scoop in the back which gives a more chic look. I love wedges for the summer…they usually compliment any outfit. Nude sandals, a definite wardrobe necessity! Oh my god!!!….the exfoliating gloves are priceless….I cannot live without!!!! In regards to jewelry during the summer, costume jewelry will quickly become nasty looking…particularly necklaces and bracelets…from sweat. So those special pieces you really love should be worn minimally when out in the heat. I also found they also take a hit if wearing in chlorinated pools or hot tubs. When on a cruise a few years ago, I got out of the hot tub, looked at my hand, and was a bit upset that my rings were severely tarnished. When I went to the beach the next day, I “scrubbed” my rings in the sand and they were back to normal. I’ve learned to remove all my jewelry before swimming or sitting in a hot tub/jacuzzi.

1:33 I see you brought your little green child out to play!😂 Metal accessories in summer are not so practical as they heat up quite qickly and besides lip gloss there are many lip balms that have sun screen because our lips need protection, too! Have an enchanting summer!

So true about the wedges. I have a love/hate relationship with them, maybe I haven't found the right pair. Definitely helps to improve a summer dress, and so necessary when on grass or sand.

I learned to swim since mid 2021, got serious from last July to swim an hour 6 times a week rain or shine unless there’s thunder. First time in my life I got upper body definition and good tan. I love cotton, rayon, and linen dresses and have a sizable collection. Now I love them even more because I look better wearing them without shrug or coverup.

Really!!! There are adorable ones now; in thinner fabric, in vibrant colours, you name it! I bought two linen dresses in preparation for summer: one is this very wide comfy dress from Uniqlo to look chick in superhot weather, the other is shirt dress with a belt that you can unbutton all the way and use like this super lightweight trench for layering (summer outfits can get a bit plain since a lot of times it's just like a tank top and shorts lol) and extra protection from the sun.

Button-down and shorts, that's my summer uniform, even though it's hot in Ft. Worth, Texas, they crank up the AC anywhere you go. I love Spanx shorts, they come in a 4" and 6" length, for us gals with long legs, they are fabulous, the best quality fabric, and lots of colors. Agolde Parker Long short is for sure my favorite denim short. Awesome vlog, thank you!

Linen anything is great, still looking for that perfect 2 Pc set as well as a straw bag. I tried to love a wedge, but could never get into the look, and they hurt my feet, so I sold the one cute pair I had. Glad someone else gets to love them!

Yes, yes and yes! I agree with all of it! I have a suggestion: that gorgeous emerald green linen dress would look better with a nude or gold dainty sandal instead of the black heavy ones (please don’t get mad). You look gorgeous on those swimsuits! And as for ACOTAR, big fan! Read The Wolf and the Wildflower by Ella Fields. I’m a psychologist and I think the author captured the emotions of the characters so well and yes, it’s juicy!

Anna, With all due respect, I disagree with you on the straw/raffia bag🤣! Please, don't take me wrong, I love this type of bag - they look amazing and go with almost any(!) summer outfit, BUT... They will ruin your clothes (only jeans may probably survive) on the side you wear the bag. The straw/raffia surface is pretty raff, and every step means some movement and physical contact, read rubbing, between the torso, hip, and the inner part of the arm/forearm/wrist. Unless you are not carrying the bag exclusively = 100% in your hand, it will ruin your outfit. I can verify that - it happened to me with more outfits before I resolutely banished the straw/raffia bags. P.S. I still love them - in the picture🤩!

I love a matching skirt and top set, but the ones I really love the look of, like from Me and Em, or was it Whistles?, are polyester, which I can’t wear, and still over $500, no thanks. If not silk, why not rayon/viscose? It has many silk-like properties, and most importantly, it’s breathable, unlike sweaty polyester. A skirt and top set can be worn as a dress, a skirt in outfits, or a top in outfits, so they can give lots of wardrobe mileage. Silk Laundry has some silk ones, sold as matching separates, but I didn’t find a patterned one that I love there this season (they’re big on cartoon and novelty prints like balloons, not my thing). I’m still looking for The One.

I love white bottoms (skirts, pants, shorts), they look so chic with everything. I don’t want to “minimize my lower half” by wearing dark colors there, as always recommended. My hips, thighs and bottom are skinny, I want to emphasize them, not make them disappear. I would die of boredom wearing only dark bottoms. I knew someone who only wore black leggings daily, year-round, but capri-length in summer. That might be simple and comfortable, but it’s definitely not for me. Black also kills any color it’s near, I never agree that “black goes with everything”, it doesn’t. The one color that really does is white.
