My family thinks I am crazy. My 25 year old car finally died. I have chosen not 6o replace the car. I walk where I want to or need to go. I am retired so I am ok.

I put a plastic stick up hook on the wall in my shower by nob. I use a hand towel to stand on, dry off and hang back up...I use for the week then throw in wash. Keep shower curtain closed, it dries better to avoid mildew.

Home air fresheners: One of my favorite things is the smell of a freshly brewed pot of coffee, makes the home smell amazing! Another one, boil some cinnamon sticks in water for about 20 minutes and it freshens the entire space leaving a delightfully warm and comforting smell throughout the home. Plus drinking cinnamon tea like that is good for stabilizing blood sugar and tastes wonderful! Thanks Jenny for all of your useful tips! I just recently found your channel whilst on the hunt to figure out how to refill my wet jet container. New subscriber here! May God bless you and your loved ones, in Jesus’ name!

For the bath mat: I just dry my feet off before I get out of the tub. I thought everyone did this?

Not sure! Does everyone do that? 😂 I can’t reach the towel from the tub in order to do that 🤣

I have had a small microfiber bath mat for a few years that I drape over the bannister and it dries perfectly. Every once in a while I throw it in the washing machine. Older folks probably prefer bath mats to towels on the floor to step on.

I use a bidet, but I still need TP for drying. Bidet + TP does the best job in cleaning. Some people do use cloth as toilet papers, they’ll wash it after use. It’ll take time to get used to this but I don’t feel ready for this change yet 🤭 I cut down the use of TP by folding 2 squares into 3 folds. Oh, and I tear my tissues into half often (or even into 3 parts), I do this even when I’m outside, like after meals when I need to wipe.
@PinchAPennyWithJenny
@PinchAPennyWithJenny 2 жыл бұрын
I can’t get over cloth TP. I’m not quite that extreme and have drawn the line there. 😂 Technically, if the bidet gets you “clean,” can’t you dry with a bath towel or something? Mmm, not sure how clean it gets you. 😆 I also tear tissues in half too! It makes total sense since you don’t always need the entire piece.

After using a bidet for a few years, I realised a bidet isn’t 100% effective. I don’t want to sound TMI here, so bidet + TP is the best.

🤣 I’m scared to accidentally flood the entire apartment haha! The building is pre-war and the instructions look a little different than “modern” toilets so I’ve been afraid to try it.

I loveeee my fish tank too! It's a 5 gallon portrait tank, so it's taller and takes up less table space, plus it's CURVED at the corners. I've had this tank for years. It's out of stock on Amazon right now, but here's the model: amzn.to/3KVxMBt They have a 3 gallon version too: amzn.to/36dIRPx

I am old, 60, almost 61. Our birthday is the same week or maybe the same day. Anyway, I cut my own hair as well. One thing I do not do is drink tap water. It is so full of chemicals. I can’t imagine how many chemicals are on NY water, being that all water is recycled, even in Ohio where I live. The big cities anyway. I have never been a gamer either and would not know how to even turn one on. I do collect pocket knives. I have been doing that since I was 5 years old. I have not bought a new one in about 10 years. I do not care about value. I would just see a nice one and want it. I have sold many of them and plan to sell off more since I a older and my daughter won’t want them. I had one birthday party when I turned 10 years old. Double digits. That’s it. I am not a party person either. I love Christmas, but like you, I live alone and have a fake tree that can be put up, but nobody will be here to see it so I do not bother with it. My home and truck are paid for. I have no credit cards, so I owe nothing to anyone. Other than food, my Only monthly bills are electric and gas. $200 a month is all I need for those together. We think similar, but you cut way back on more than I would. I just do not have the other expenses you do, like rent, and travel every day. My truck is 11 years old, but still does not have 30k miles on it yet. My house needs some repairs which I cannot do, since the last time I worked was before COVID. Nothing since. Being a man, a bidet would not work. I need toilet paper.
