My Name doesent matter and I am filming while driving cars. No matter if they are old, fast, loud, hydrogen, hybride or full electric. They need to be moved at full throttle!
With two onboard cams, I record everything important to show you High-Speed-Runs, Acceleration tests ( 0-100 kph / 0-200 kph / 100-200 kph / 200-300 kph ) and test drives on German Autobahn or Roads. Please note, Germany is the country of "no speed limit" highways / Autobahn. So in some places, it's allowed to drive top speed. If you want to do this by youtself, you are welcome to visit Germany. Well...as a 328 cabrio (manual) owner in Hungary, I don't make 200+driving on Autobahn here but drive small roads all the time. So mine is stock but installed shorter diff ratio +LSD. It still flats out at 230 kmh but pulling much stronger in lower gears that I use every day. And a lot of fun on wet or snow. That makes sense! ;)

Very good car. Had a non Vanos 325 manual - for 4 years. Bilstein shocks/Eibach springs. Still miss that car. If I can find an E36 328i with a manual could be tempted to add an LSD (3.15), M50 intake, dyno tune for a fun sports coupe.

The clever people among you will see this as a chance and buy any reasonably priced 328i/325i with a manual and minor rust. Since they get thrashed and beaten to death they will become rare and people will remember them soon and want one. This has happened to so many cars. E30 are collectors items already, old GTIs, nice condition 180/240SX... they don't make cars like these anymore. Get them cheap, stop any rust and keep them in good nick and you will get a profit.

I used to drive between Vienna Austria and Munich Germany every weekend in the early nineties when there was only one radar trap in Austria and mostly no speed limit in Germany. I was lucky to have an 8 cylinder BMW and drove between 230 to 250 kmh an hour the entire trip wich was 456 Kilometers, with border check and gas stop my best time was under three hours. Although I'm not proud of this as it is reckless driving, I had a hell of a time and would trade it for nothing. As Aldous Huxley once said. "Speed is the only true modern pleasure" I couldn't agree more. 😁

Real GPS speed is about 230, but still very impressive for such an old car with only 193hp and automatic. Well done BMW.

Da spielt die Aerodynamik und die Bereifung eine wesentlich größere Rolle als die blanke PS Zahl. Ein Golf GTD mit 184 PS fährt ja auch 230 Spitze laut Papieren, d.h. 245-250 lt. Tacho. Ein DIESEL, Karl! So verstehe ich den Schock bei diesem BMW überhaupt nicht. 193 PS müssen so fahren! Wie denn sonst?..

I used to have a saloon version of this. 1996, manual, in Montreal blue. Wish I'd hung onto it now as clean, original E36s are getting hard to find! That said, I have a lovely E39 for the past 5 years and plan to keep it forever!! BMW will never repeat this era of classic understated style with the NA straight six engines.

it did not :) even if it did reach 250 on tacho the real speed would be around 240 km/h :)

@@andrjooo way less... those old BMW got way higher errors.. but always depends on tyre size. back in the days my 320i e30 Stock Tyres did 220 speedometer in rev limiter (changed diff) GPS said something like 198 ..

My old e39 528i also had so much power at the top end. My current f10 528i has no power at the top end .turbo in line 4 just pathetic and what makes worst is it reliability is terrible. Miss the old inline 6 N/A engines .

Can concur. This was easily possible with my E36 328i sedan. It DID have a free flow exhaust and had its head shaved, but it was an absolute beast. And sounded the part too.

have not seen an E91 330d as flagged in the preview - only a 320d @5min30s. A remapped N57D30 with 300hp runs gps ~270 km/h and 100-200 in ~14s, won't have to struggle against an M52B28 ;-). But hey, nice car, nice video, enjoyed watching.

Bigger =/= better in case of brakes. High-end stock brakes will do better than bigger, but regular ones.

248KPH @ 6500 RPM. A manual coupe is 250 lbs lighter, and with no rev limit i bet you could wind it up to 6800 RPM or so, which should translate to 157 mph. GPS speed is probably more like 150 mph. Still a TON of speed for a sub-200hp car, but I suspect these put out over 200 bhp, but BMW didn't want to get the US spec M3 in trouble.

Я в таком же темпе ("тапка в пол и гори оно всё огнём") долетал из Майнца в Берлин за 3ч.20мин. На Туареге с V8 4.2 TDI. Но расход при этом за всю дорогу был 14,5 л./100км! Так что, бензинки - это отстой.

Does this 328i have the 4 or 5-gear ZF Automatik Transmission? If you had the 5-Speed you had closed the 5 gear. Cause 5 gear was overdrive on this transmission(200 km/h by 4000 RPM).
