Where's the drum section ?

they were outside getting trough drills and sectional. CNN came in while the rest of the band was in the Armory. Drumline gets time to work through the music before being added in. I am one of the former member of the 2012 band.

Seen maybe 1 black student smh

The nation is 70% white & 13% black so even if they were to be fair there wouldn't be that many black students there.

ADAJ3 I understand that perfectly but I disagree, me being a musician and heavily involved in marching bands, I see every day how these type of things go. The overlook black students they don't even try to find black students, I know plenty black musician that are absolute masters of their instruments... With things like this they usually do an open call for musicians to come audition... No matter how good intelligent the black musicians are they are only allowed so many spots, I see it all the time

DrumMajorSCSU .DrumMajorSCSU I am one of the Alumni members from the 2012 Band i am black and was the only one who was African American on Drumline doing 2012 year. But not too many blacks try to audition for the band very few do. And not too Many of them are not even into band. Mostly sports but very few do try. Macy's Parade was on my list. I wanted to Rose Parade with BOA Honor Band but couldn't do both. So Macy's was my choice.

Travis Cyprien I understand what you are saying, I am from the south and I work with HBCU band and high school band there are thousands of black students who would love to participate in this music is a lifestyle for us but unfortunately they don't allow many black students to get in. No matter their talent level they are only going to let a certain amount enter

***** no I am NOT in band I have to music degrees, I work with musicians of all colors all across the United States. I am telling you what I know and what I see , they only let a certain amount of black students in no matter their talent level I have seen this first hand year after year
