I bought this box for myself back in 2012. Even back then it was hard to find and I had to buy it online, have it shipped to a friend's house in the US (because I lived in Perú back then and shipping would have added even more to the price), then when my friend came to visit me in Perú she brought it with her in her suitcase. I paid $1,800 USD for it back then, it costs even more now because they cannot be found. I am so glad I invested on it back when I was single and had the money to do so. I could never justify getting something like that now, but oh, it is a DREAM for artists! Someday I'll teach my children how to use the pencils and the pastels and all the things in it. And I'm sure it will last until my grandkids come, the supplies are such good quality, unlike anything else I've used.

@@m1churr0 Polychromos are oil based, as opposed to Prismacolors, which are wax based and leave a sheen when coloring. The polychromos are opaque and I love them. They're a joy to work with!

@Blu Red That is the problem of big sets like this. Rich pro artists prefer to buy colors they need and supplies they need. Not everything in one big box. They just don't need it. Watercolor pencils, oil-based penсils, pastels, charcoal, water-soluble graphite. Who need it all together? May be students need it but they are too poor to pay for a big wooden box too.

And all I have is Cheap markers (half of them missing) Cheap Crayons (yes , half of those missing too) Cheap Pencil (not suitable for drawing) Eraser(doesn't erase properly) Cheap Paper(note book pages ripped off) Cheap Colour pencils(have only 3 out of 10 , others are lost in the universe) A random Paint (dried out , now in the garbage) edit : I guess I didnt check my likes. I have tons of stuff from them. Here in Germany, you don't see the Polychromos like at all, I just know that they exist because I got into art. Here they are like a normal every day brand, with coloured pencils for kids and students. You can even find them at a 1€ shop😂
