On November 26, The Indian Express hosted the third edition of 26/11 Stories of Strength, an initiative to honour survivors and their families and to recount their stories of resilience in the face of grief and loss. The memorial witnessed performances by a three-part set comprising Harshdeep Kaur, Nepalese Buddhist nun and singer Ani Choying Drolma along with choir singers.

@Pem Gya hmm.. I'm not sure brother. I may be proud of other things..but there's nothing to be proud of being a Buddhist, and specially if/when you're a Buddhist. Maybe you meant being extremely happy and grateful that you were born in a family that follows this devine philosophy. In that, I'm with you too.. I consider myself extremely lucky to be from a Buddhist family. To be born as a human is a blessing, and to be born in a Buddhist family, I must've accumulated some really good merit in my past life. The point being, I'm very happy and extremely lucky to be a follower of The Buddha's path..but proud I am not..and I think I shouldn't be. 🙏😊👍

@Pem Gya um.. I think I understand the confusion here. I'm referring to the use of the word (pride) in its literal sense. Pride by definition is something that you feel when you feel like you've achieved something of importance and as such are in a position better than others. When you feel like you're better than others, or are in a position better than others..then you're creating a divide between you and the rest..you're creating an "I", and this "I" is what causes you to keep yourself reaching the ultimate goal..Nirvana. I'm being over ambitious when talking about attaining Nirvana..but.. one small step at a time brother.. ☺️🙏💐
