Great lesson! Just one thing I see people miss, is the F note in the intro riff, played immediately after the sharp F note instead of an open E note.

There seems to be no response from the author in the comments. No interaction? Am i just not seeing it. Anyway, for those who want to know, the descending lick is completely chromatic: 00-7,00-6,00-5,0-4,0-3,0-2-1...and is most definitely does not include pull-offs. He’s right. You can play it how you want. But this is the accurate way to handle the lick.

At 5:30 I like how you roll into it.. I remember when this song first came out and that's what's got me also to playing metal, but I never played it like you.. And for the longest time I played it with bar chords through the whole song and it was tough. But now I can play it right because of ur help.. Thank you so much man.. lol.. And now I'm waiting for you to go live on here..

Cool lesson Steve, interesting how much Megadeth shares in common with Metallica early songs since Dave Mustaine was part of Metallica in the early days.

The proper way in the descending part instead of E James plays F note and all the riffs on the E and A strings.
