In basketball, whoever gets fouled has to go to the line regardless of whether they’re a good free throw shooter or not. Take this same analogy and apply it to another sport like football (soccer) it doesn’t matter who gets fouled, the best shooter is the one who gets selected to take the penalty or free kick.
