Ever since the release if suikoden 2 (which is my all time favorite rpg game.. no one can beat this game.) I've been a massive fan. I hope konami can release more suikoden games..

Ppl should start a petition to get Sukioden back to be remade and also making a 6. Maybe They don't understand how much ppl want this game back.

Remake or continuation of legendary Suikoden II for me. The most detailed and most well-done rpg I ever played. Maybe it's actually the last phoenix that can lead Konami to rebirth...

I like how Konami just role reversal Luc and Sasarai's character in 2 of the games. in Suikoden 1 and 2, Luc's the good guy by helping the MC to win the war and in Suikoden 3 he's the main final boss. as for Sasarai, in Suikoden 2 he's the bad guy for joining Luca's army or was it Joey's army? and in Suikoden 3 he's the good guy trying to stop his big brother Luc by joining the MC's castle.

if only we get another suikoden games...

Freedom, again such an amazing theme glad to hear it again. ❤️ Ahhh the tragic stories of the true runes such a great epic concept. soul eater sword and shield punishment night rune gate rune all epic and you forget didn't the eight fold rune allow Yuber to become a giant bone dragon in green hill was it? In Suikoden 1? Yuber n Pesmerga were a story which I wanted to be mainlined as well as Clive's story as well. You left out the true runes make theirv owners sort of immortal immune to aging over time.

We still don't know the possessors of true Change & circle rune. Nor the secrets of the Sindars. Mysteries and past lives of Jeane, Yuber, Viki, Zerase, or Leknaat. This is an incomplete game and we've been at this petition for over a decade now, I demand a new release and continuation of Suikoden games in Ps4 or Ps5 to come! We have seen nothing on Ps3😢

ive always been interested in the remaining true runes. as well as the 3 runes that still havent been fully talked about (circle 8fold and change.) not only this but there has been one factor that ive always been interested in. all runes are born from the 27 true runes. with each passing suikoden game there has been several new runes added in. there are also runes that are character Unique (only 1 character thru the series has them, im not going thru all of them.) but then in the shops they have many additional runes. lots of status changing runes like boost, killer, magic, multi strike, crazed, wall, knight, as well as the prosperity and fortune, etc etc etc. there are also runes that are "weapon" unique. like runes that 1h swords can use, runes that axe users can use. runes that bow users can use. boomerang. etc etc. then other runes still that are more inserted just for the specific game play. like sound, window, and holy for run speed. i havent even mentioned the battle "animal" runes like boar and falcon and viper that are unique attacks. none the less. with all these weird runes, what are their true runes? we still have 9 unaccounted Trues so there are still many things that can be created. i even wonder what the ressurection rune came from. some people think its the night rune or moon rune or possibly even the soul eater since its the "life and death" rune (the darkness rune came from it obviously.) for sure tho one thing i didnt like is how they handled the pre suikoden 1 games.....all these runes that are in suikoden 4 and 5 that are pre time line dont exist in suikoden 1. obviously cuz they improved as they created them in their order but chronologically its still annoying. suikoden 1 and 2 are definately in need of a remake just on this reason alone.

God that ost, so nostalgic, feels like I'm back to my high school days, searching the net for any scrap of suikoden with my sister.

I didn't know remember the Eightfold Rune, the Circle Rune or the Rune of Change, so that was interesting. Jeane should also have one, since she appears in every damn Suikoden game and appears unaged (not buying the "every woman in her family looks the same" bs). Also Viki's rune allows her to travel space AND time, which sounds a bit broken to me if it was just a normal rune. It must be a True one. It's too powerful, even if Viki can't really control it very well.

Back here due to the remaster announcement! Great time to be a JRPG fan with the 1and2 remaster coming and Eiyuden coming out

Slight correction to the Rune of Punishment's past owners: husband/father of Rikie and Rakgi respectively; pirate Steele (Suikoden Tactics) and the unknown owner who brought it to Obel. It was clearly mentioned in Suikoden IV when the protagonist was asked to meet Rikie and Rakgi in the Obel Ruins.

For people coming here. The original eightfold rune was my design, I'm pretty happy that people still use it even tho it's been such a long time.

I believe Yuber to be the actual bearer of the Eightfold True Rune, no variation intended, in his case at least.

I think Resurrection rune is child of some True rune.

It's a shame we'll never get resolution to the Rune Saga of Suikoden. Even if we do get any new games in the future, however unlikely, Konami has all but abandoned that timeline for some inexplicable reason in exchange for the multiverse of sub par spin offs. RIP Suikoden.

I always wondered what would happen if all 27 true runes were brought together. I imagine it could bring ultimate destruction to the world if they all clashed and that would be fun to experience.

As hyped as I am for Eiyuden Chronicle, I wish they could just finish out this universe. There are runes we know about and haven’t seen and runes we don’t know at all. There’s an entire continent we know about but have no idea what’s going on over there. Part of my wishes that Sony buys Konami and rabbit and bear so they can call it suikoden 6 the eiyuden chronicle.

i believe Rune of Punishment is among the strongest true runes.. together with Sun Rune, Dragon Rune, Rune of Change, Night Rune, (Complete) Gate Rune (if fused again together both parts..), Circle Rune, Life and Death, Rune of Beginning (also if complete, if its separate parts back fused again..) and Sovereign (as it has the power to cancel some other kinds of powers of\from other runes..).. not that the others aren't strong, specially True Fire, Beast, Eightfold, Moon etc.. but those others mentioned before (these) are, or must be, the shit.

If there is ever a suikoden 6 I hope it happens in either kanakan, harmonia, kamaro free knight, or the nagarea theocracy

Eight fold rune was featured in suiko3 during luc's story line

If you play through to the end of Suikoden 3, you can play as Yuber and can use his Eight-Devil rune. Not sure why the author of this video said it was not featured...

Is the picture of Sovereign Rune, Rune of Change, Circle Rune and Eightfold Rune official? Cause never seen them before releases by Konami...

Doesn't the Eight Fold Rune make an appearance in suikoden 1 when yuber summons the massive army of demons? And also, he does regularly teleport. I suppose neither of those really constitutes an appearance of the rune, but they certainly were displays of the rune's power.

Hopefully a lot of people purchase the Remake of Suikoden 1 & 2; maybe it'll give Konami a kick in the @ss to make Suikoden 6. We have 18 out of 27 discovered so far; still 9 more to go and most likely 2 games more worth of content. Hopefully we get some of our beloved characters back like Viktor, Flik, and McDohl. Gremio would be a nice addition as well; same as Riou, Jowy, and Nanami. It'd be cool to see the Scarlet Moon King make a reappearance as we have no idea what happened to him after the first game.

Its originally called the soul eater dunno where you got the run of life at?? The two most dangerous true tunes for the living is the rune of punishment where it kills the host & then the soul eater where it kills people & devours their souls that are involved with the runes bearer... But lazlo didnt turn to dust weird that he didn't but he never woke up so I say he dead...
